📣 Important Update on My Farrier Services During the EHV-1 Outbreak
With the recent EHV-1 cases in our area, I want to reassure all clients that I’m committed to keeping your horses—and mine—safe while continuing to provide farrier care.
Here’s what I’ll be doing moving forward:
🧼 Strict sanitation before and after each appointment, including disinfecting tools, boots, and equipment.
🚫 No shared handling of horses between barns to prevent cross-contact.
📍 Limiting travel and grouping appointments by area to reduce exposure risk.
🐴 Working on isolated horses first and avoiding any horses showing fever, nasal discharge, or neurologic signs.
📞 Clear communication—if anything changes in your barn or mine, we’ll reschedule as needed.
Your horses’ health is my top priority, and these precautions will allow me to safely continue providing hoof care during this outbreak. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Stay safe and give your horses an extra pat for me. 🤎🐴
