Large dog owners, this is worth knowing. ❤️🐾

In this reel, Dr. Bruns explains why we perform heart ultrasound exams and why annual checkups matter. These screenings help us monitor heart function, spot changes early, and stay proactive about your dog’s health.

Those wiggly tails, wobbly walks, and happy little faces can only mean one thing… puppy visit day. 🐾

These Labrador babies are wriggling, wagging, and waddling their way into the clinic for their first round of shots and a well-care checkup. Just like human babies, puppies need a series of vaccines and regular checkups during the first few months of life to help protect them while they grow. In general, puppy vaccines start around 6–8 weeks of age and are repeated every 2–4 weeks until at least 16 weeks old, because maternal antibodies can interfere with early protection.

A general new puppy schedule often includes DA2PP/distemper-parvo combination vaccines every 2–4 weeks through 16 weeks, a rabies vaccine when age and local law allow, and sometimes leptospirosis based on your veterinarian’s recommendations and your puppy’s lifestyle or local risk. Other important early well-care can include f***l testing, routine deworming, starting heartworm prevention by about 8 weeks when label directions allow, flea and tick prevention, nutrition checks, and safe early socialization.

Every puppy is a little different, so vaccine timing and preventive care should always be tailored by your veterinarian.

Dr. Bruns is walking through a recent case involving a cat with a gunshot wound that caused a broken bone. She explains the injury, the treatment plan, and why a splint was used instead of a traditional cast.

In cases like this, stabilization is only part of the picture. When there is also soft tissue trauma and swelling, a splint can sometimes be the safer and more effective option for managing healing.

Every fracture case is different, which is why treatment decisions are based on the full injury, not just the X-ray.

What success looks like... wait for it. 👀

That hip pop back into place is the kind of moment we love to see. Skilled hands, careful technique, and one big step toward getting this pup more comfortable and on the road to recovery.

When pets need more than basic care, moments like this matter.

All hail the queen of dark glam and distance goals, Dr. Schwendemann. 👑🖤✨

Huge congratulations to Dr. Schwendemann on running her first half-marathon at Disney and doing it dressed as Maleficent, because of course, you had to bring your own brand of sparkle, s***k, and sass to the course. There was never going to be a subtle moment with you in the race, and honestly, we would expect nothing less.

You showed up fierce, fabulous, and totally unforgettable. Proof that a little villain energy can look very good at the finish line. Fire!!! 🔥

EASTER DIY No-Bake Dog Treats

These DIY no-bake dog treats are proof that you do not need to be crafty to make something cute for your pup. They are simple, affordable, and a whole lot easier on your wallet than store-bought treats. With just a few basic ingredients and no baking required, this is an easy win for dog lovers.

Ingredients
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup pure, unprocessed coconut oil, softened
- 3 tablespoons flour (optional; helps stabilize the mixture)
- Colored candy melts (optional; for decorating)

Directions
▪️ In a bowl, combine the softened coconut oil and peanut butter. Stir until the mixture is smooth and fully blended.
▪️Add 3 tablespoons of flour, if desired, to help stabilize the mixture and give it a firmer texture.
▪️For a decorative touch, melt the colored candy melts and lightly line your silicone molds before adding the treat mixture.
▪️Pour the peanut butter mixture into the molds.
▪️Place the molds in the freezer until the treats are fully set. Approx 1 hour.
▪️Pop the treats out of the molds and serve them to your pup.

Store treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Simple enough for the least crafty dog parent. Cute enough to look like you tried really hard.

A little extra help. A lot of heart. 💙🐾

Jessica stepped in to make things a little easier for both this sweet pup and their
owner. It may have been a small moment, but it says so much about the kind of care
and compassion she brings every day. Jessica, you’re the best!

POV: the vet tech or assistant walks in and your pet acts like hard times have arrived.

We handle the dirty work, the pokes, the temps, the nail trims… then the doctor strolls in with sweet talk, treats and steals the whole show.

Must be nice.

Little drama beans never forget who brought the thermometer. 😂
