It's that time of year again!..I have customers returning from hunts and making plans for upcoming ones. Like Elise who was very fortunate to harvest a trophy sized Bear in Canada. Big congrats to Elise...I want to remind and emphasize how important it is to notify your taxidermist before going on hunts abroad so you can get advised on skinning, field care, transportation of your trophies etc.. The mistake so many people make is overlooking this detail until they harvest something. It is wise to be well informed rather than entirely trust others to handle those details for you. Wether you are on a Bear hunt, Antelope, Elk, Deer, etc.... These animals are all very different and can require different handling and precautions. The best way to skin your trophies can vary...so please do yourself and your taxidermist a favor and be proactive. I have so many trophies come in each year with avoidable damage from improper skinning and handling. If you know someone on a hunt or planning one share this post with them so they understand the importance. Good luck to all on their hunting adventures..Be safe everyone...
