Calli, Rose, and Lina from our show team volunteered this past weekend to be outriders for Gateway Harness Clubs yearly ride at Wright Equestrian. This is one of the girls favorite rides of the year and the members were so impressed with our girls they even donated to our booster club. We are so lucky to have so many supportive adults in all different disciplines who see our girls hard work and want to reward it. We are so grateful for every single donation and compliment this girls get. 🥹

Our star of the month this month is Alexis T! Lexi owns and shows Casper (Diamond in thee Rough). She has put so much time, love, and hard work in to turning her little rescue hunt pony into an all arounder and boy has she kicked butt! Casper came in grand for trail last season and came home this weekend with double blue! We love this little team and love watching them crush all of their goals!

- My favorite show team memory was definitely when our whole show team was at the Mid River Saddle Club banquet when we were having so much fun laughing and line dancing to the song cotton eye joe.

Wanted to say thank you to Leslie G who sent her pony Darla to pony boot camp at Wright Equestrian Center! Calli and Rose are taking on the job (with miss Christines help of course) of training miss Darla for riding (she's a cool cart pony now!). In turn Leslie and Christine donated her training fee to WEST! We are so thankful for the support Leslie and Christine give our team, having awesome adults who believe in your kids is priceless. Leslie fox hunts with most our youth team and has always been there cheering them on fiercely. Christine brags on her students every chance she gets and supports whatever they ever want to do anyway she can. We couldn't be more thankful both of these women are so supportive of our show team kiddos.

We officially have our hauls covered for the year thanks to our recent donors, this is huge and we are just so overwhelmed with joy. Every donation adds up and we are so thankful for everyone who donates to our booster club. Thank you for supporting our team!

Special thank you to Allen Gillispie Quarter Horses for their donation to our show team! Allen and his dad Bernie are all of our show horses farriers and we are so blessed with the best! From coming out last minute to help with a thrown shoe before a show to teaching the kids who wanna learn Allen has always been so supportive of our youth.

Thank you, Allen we appreciate it so much and couldn't do it without supporters like you!

Boy did these kids put all of their skills into action this past weekend! They kicked butt at their first saddle club show of the series and had a blast while doing so. I love seeing all of their hard work at home pay off in the show ring.

We could not be more proud of the Wright Equestrian show team and all of the hard things they accomplish. I love this team and every single kiddo on it, not only are they amazing riders, they all also have amazing horsemanship and sportsmanship, which are most important in this sport. 🥰

P.S. most of the kids who showed this past weekend also earned their fairly hunted award last week! Such diverse riders we have!

Alexis Hunter and her horse Bambi 🦌

Lexi's our Star of the month this month, not only does she ride beautifully in the show arena she also likes to get out and have fun on the trails with a little more speed on her favorite OTTB. It's so much fun watching these two show together and the bond they have in and out of the arena! Lexi always encourages all of her teammates and is very supportive of every one, especially the littles. We love having you on our team Lex!

Get to know Lexi:

How long have you been riding?
She’s been riding since August 2018 she began on a pony named Alfalfa.

How long have you been showing?
Her very first show was a fair show in September of 2018. Her very first mid River saddle club show was August 2019. She started riding Bambi September of 2019. She officially started to show Bambi in December 2019 at her very first walk trot class!
In the midst of showing, she was also actively hunting, earning her fairly hunted award and attended the hound trials in Kansas!
In 2022 she chose to let hunting take the back burner and she was actively working on her showing and dedication to Bambi in the same year of 22 she earned her first grand champion for the mid River saddle club in the beginner division
In July 22, we officially signed our lease for Bambi and he came home from college. Ever since then Lex and him have been killing it together.

What is your and Bambis favorite class?
Mine and his favorite class is probably HUS.

What celebrity does your horse remind you of?
The moose from brother bear 🫎

Favorite horse activity outside of showing?
Ba****ck riding when I got to do it with Bambi

Your favorite show team memory?
Being in a class with my favorite littles.

What is your horses favorite treat?
Molasses muffins, apples and oranges. 🍊
