There is an NW1 scheduled for November 28 in Silex, MO. Get your ORT title so that you will be eligible to enter!

We are excited to be hosting Official NACSW™ Odor Recognition Tests (ORTs) on September 12, 2026 in High Ridge, MO.

The tests open for registration on July 1 at 12pm Central!

If you want to trial in NACSW nose work competitions, the ORT title is the first step. To earn the title, you must pass Birch, Anise, and Clove. If you missed one previously, you can sign up for just the one(s) you need!

We will be speaking at the CANIS Conference this October!

Michael's session, “In Their Element: What Ethology Can Teach Us About Nose Work Dogs,” will cover how an ethological approach can transform the way we design searches, interpret behavior, and build relationships with our dogs.

Michael and Natalie's joint session, "Play Hard, Sniff Smart: Building Better Nose Work Teams Through Games" will explore the theory and practice of using games and game theory to enhance learning, motivation, and performance for both dogs and handlers.

CANIS brings together professionals from across the dog world, including behavior, training, veterinary science, sheltering, and sport, all in one place for four days of learning and collaboration.
