We have an unexpected opening in our Tiny Stirrups program (Friday evening class)— perfect for our youngest horse lovers ready to start their riding journey! 🐎💕

Tiny Stirrups is designed specifically for ages 3-6, offering a safe, fun, and confidence-building introduction to horses. Each session blends hands-on horsemanship with mounted activities that teach balance, coordination, and trust — all in a positive and encouraging environment. 🌟

Whether your little one dreams of riding or just wants to be around ponies, this is the perfect place to start! 🐴👧👦

We had a fun and fantastic outing at the Star City show at Green Hill Park! Britney and Arty made a great return to the show ring, putting together all the pieces we’ve been working on at home. Leah had a great day showing Bubba in the ground pole jumper classes, and Mia piloted Adrian around the .75m jumpers. Stella rocked the .85m with confidence. Everyone came back with some great homework and positive takeaways! Huge thanks to Kayleigh Burke for putting on such a well-run show—we had a blast!

The past two days of camp have been packed with smiles, skill building, and even a slip n’ slide! ☀️🐴 Campers had the chance to trot for the first time, refine their jumping, and learn all about how we’re preparing Bravo for his next role in our program. They also got to cheer on one of our amazing adult riders as she jumped around—and we capped it all off with a pony parade! 🎉🎠

We’ve heard over and over that this has been “the best week ever,” and we couldn’t agree more. 💙 We love creating a summer experience these kids will never forget!

🌟 Day 2 of Camp – Confidence, Progress & So Much Fun! 🐴🎉
Today was all about building on what we learned yesterday. Riders continued to grow their skills—some worked on refining their jumping position 🏇 to stay balanced with their horse, while others focused on mastering the rhythm of posting at the walk 🚶‍♀️➕🐎.

We wrapped things up with more ba****ck games 🎯 which brought lots of laughter 😂 and a great chance to practice balance in a fun, relaxed way!

It’s amazing to see the confidence growing in each camper already 💪💖—we can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! 🌞🐾

🎉 Camp Session 1 – Day 1 Recap! 🎉

What an amazing first day of camp! Our riders kicked things off with big smiles and even bigger goals. Today’s focus was on straightness—and our campers took that challenge head-on!

🐎 Some students worked on building confidence over jumps,
🐴 Others experienced the thrill of riding for the very first time,
✨ And everyone grew in skill, confidence, and connection with their horses.

We’re so proud of how much our campers accomplished already—and it’s only Day 1! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.

🌟 Barn Life Beyond the Ring! 🌟

At Empowered Equestrian, we believe in creating not just great riders—but amazing memories, too! 🐴💫

This weekend, our crew traded breeches for sundresses and tailgates for polos (the sport and the shirt 😉) as we headed out to enjoy a fun-filled day watching polo at King Family Vineyards! 🍷🏇

It was the perfect way to soak in some Virginia sunshine, cheer on the ponies, and spend time together outside the barn. From picnicking with friends to seeing high-speed action on the field, it was a fantastic reminder that the horse world is full of so many ways to connect, grow, and have fun.

We love bonding as a barn family, whether we’re ringside, riding, or relaxing together. Stay tuned—more adventures ahead!

🏇 Big news: Our herd is growing!
Please help us welcome Bravo, our newest lesson horse! We picked up this 8-year-old off-the-track Thoroughbred from Camp Lejeune on Memorial Day, and we’re thrilled to give him a second career here at Empowered Equestrian. Bravo earned his keep on the track, and now it’s his time to shine with us. We can’t wait to watch his glow-up this summer! 💫
