I’m deeply saddened to let everyone know the news of Lockhard Stables closing. Some may already know, but this is an extreme shock to myself as I’m sure it will be to you. Unfortunately, it sounds like the barn and surrounding property will be sold, forcing us to leave.
I want to give my thanks to everyone that Ive worked with over the years. The people who started out as clients, turned into friends, turned into family. The amazing connections I have made with multiple trainers, farriers, vets, saddle fitters, etc. Each and every one of my boarders are absolutely wonderful (seriously!!) and if any of them contact you for boarding, you will be lucky to have them. They have made this a beautiful experience for me and I hope to follow them as they continue to grow sucessful partnerships with their horses.
I was apart of building every piece of this facility - the posts that everything is built from, the stalls, the plumbing, electrical, the fence, the arena, hanging metal. So many boarders and friends spent countless hours building and improving. My heart and dreams are here, but unfortunatley I have exhausted all possible options to prevent having to shut down my business.
As my world is being turned upside down, I want to reflect on all of the happiness, the great times and fond memories we have all shared. Some of my best memories and friendships were made right here in this barn. I have appreciated every second of it. The wonderful words of encouragement I have gotten, glowing reviews, seeing so many people and horses thrive here and love this place just as much as I do, I loved being able to help people with their horses and watching hundreds of positive transformations. I have been so fortunate to consistently have found wonderful help and support, people that have made it possible to reach for the stars. We’ve been successful at shows with a group of the most fun, talented people I have met. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. I cant possibly come up with enough good things to say. Im shattered about having to separate myself from this community. I hope to be back one day.
I am very fortunate be taking on a new exciting adventure for the foreseeable future in Colorado, and may share some photos and experiences here occasionally.
Thank you, Charlotte/LKN equestrian community, for turning my dreams into reality. ❤️ Love, Sam
Some fun pics to share… I could post a million if FB would allow it.v
