Round of Apaws: Home Depot Protects Our Pooches' Paws

Thank you to Home Depot in Troutdale for donating a BIG roll of carpet to help protect sensitive paw pads and toe beans on the way from the kennels through the parking lot, to the walking path, and back. It's been a big help to keep that walking route open and support enrichment activities for our dogs this summer. Our volunteer dog walkers and staff are grateful.

She's a professional biscuit maker and an expert at finding the coziest sunbeams for a nap. Flame Princess loves to play with crinkle balls and will happily chase a feather wand, but her favorite activity is getting gentle pets on her head. With a little time and understanding, Flame Princess will blossom into a devoted companion, ready to share her quiet affection and endless purrs. ❤️‍🔥

Are you the special person Colin has been waiting for? This sweet and sensitive boy has been a long-term resident at Multnomah County Animal Services and is more than ready to find a loving family to call his own.

Colin is a quick learner who's eager to please and has been thriving in his foster home! He's already mastered commands like "sit," "down," "stay," and "leave it." This active and intelligent boy loves to keep his mind and body busy with fun activities like puzzle toys and snuffle mats.

Colin can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he's a devoted and loyal companion who will fill your life with so much love. He does well with adults, older children, and calm, respectful dogs. He would do best in a calm environment with an understanding family, and no resident cats or small animals.

If you're looking for a loyal friend and are ready to give Colin the loving home he deserves, please visit his adoption profile to learn more: https://www.multcopets.org/adoptable/319659

Colin is in a volunteer foster home, so you won't find him at our Troutdale shelter!

During our adoption special, you can bring Colin home for a $25 adoption fee. License fees and long-term commitments apply!

Please share this post to help Colin find the right adoptive family! ❤️

Meet Orin! This handsome, one-year-old pup is a bundle of joy and a true adventurer at heart. Orin's got energy to spare and loves to zoom around, so he's looking for a family who enjoys an active lifestyle as much as he does. He can be a little jumpy when he's excited (he just can't contain his happiness!), but with a little guidance and his high treat motivation, he's eager to learn and channel that enthusiasm. If you're ready for a playful companion who will keep you on your toes and make every day an exciting one, Orin might just be your perfect match!💖

Meet Willow and Feather, the sweetest duo of cats around! This bonded pair is looking for their forever home together. Willow is 6 years old, her best friend Feather is 3. If you're feeling the urge to reach through the screen to pet these lovely, fluffy kitties, then come down to our Troutdale shelter today and make it happen! You can adopt cats like Willow and Feather for a $15 adoption fee during our current special. License fees and long-term costs and commitments apply!

They would thrive in a home with a calm and predictable environment. Willow can be a little shy at first, but she blossoms into a sweet and affectionate girl once she settles in. Younger Feather is also quite nervous and looks to her bestie Willow to show her how to be brave. It may take Feather a few weeks to feel comfortable, but once she does, she’ll reward your patience with a fabulous purr when you pet her!

Both girls enjoy gentle affection, looking out the window, and playing with toys. Their foster family reports they have been perfect houseguests and are fully litterbox trained. If you have a quiet and patient home for this deserving pair, please contact us to learn more about adopting Willow and Feather!
