“I think horses always feel different. You know, they're constantly changing both in their evolution in the sport and also as they have a long career and how they wind down that career. And that's kind of where we are now. We're in the twilight of his career. I'm trying to pick classes that I think he can win where I'm not taxing him to too heavy. He's jumped and won five star Grand Prix and jumped in the biggest horse shows in the world. But that's not really where he's at anymore. So I'm trying to pick things where he's still competitive and probably [there’s] not too much left for him to do as he finishes up. I like them to quit when they're still in winning form. And so I’m kind of mapping out the end of his career. I mean whatever level he does, he's normally going to win. I just want him to finish up like he deserves, in great form."
