More than 260 dogs were rescued overnight from unimaginable conditions, pulled from a hoarding situation where they’d been living in filth, fear, and neglect
Catoosa County Animal Control worked through the night alongside other county agencies and the Georgia Department of Agriculture’s law enforcement division to remove the animals from the property.
Veterinarians on site gave each dog an initial wellness check, and while all were stable, many are matted, filthy, and in desperate need of grooming and basic care.
Right now, 71 of those dogs, ranging in age from 8 weeks to 14 years, are being cared for by CCAC. They include Pomeranians, French bulldogs, and chows.
At this stage, they are available to rescue organizations only until they’ve been fully cleared medically. But they need more than that… they need time, patience, and people willing to show them what kindness feels like.
CCAC is asking for urgent help with washing, grooming, and caring for these dogs. If you’re with a rescue group or able to volunteer, please call 706-935-2454.
Please share.
These dogs have already been through so much.
Now, they need us
