Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who has followed along with us on this puppy journey! 🐾

All of the puppies have officially been spoken for, and we are so grateful for everyone who has loved them along the way. We’ve truly enjoyed seeing all the hearts, comments, encouragement, and excitement from our little corner of social media. 🥰

The puppies begin going home this Saturday, August 22! It’s definitely going to be bittersweet around here. We have loved watching these seven little personalities grow, and we’re so excited for each of them to begin their next adventure with their families. ❤️🧡💚💙💜🩷🤍

📣We have another HAPPY TAILS announcement! ❤️🐾

Our sweet ❤️Mr. Red has officially found his Furever Home — and he has a brand-new name to go with it: SAWYER! 🥰

But the extra-special part? ❤️Sawyer is going home with his brother, 🤍 Benny!

These two boys get to grow up together, sharing all the puppy adventures, mischief, cuddles, and memories that come with being best friends AND brothers. 🐾❤️🤍

As breeders, there is something incredibly special about knowing two of our boys will get to have each other for their whole lives. We couldn’t be happier for ❤️Sawyer and 🤍Benny and their wonderful family!

Congratulations, sweet boys! Your next adventure is just beginning. 🥹❤️🤍

Field trip!

🐾 A little field trip to Tractor Supply! 🐾

Nathan and I loaded up the puppies for a quick trip to Tractor Supply—mostly so I could show off these babies to my coworkers. 😉 And, of course, we couldn’t resist letting a few customers get some puppy love too!

There were LOTS of oohs, ahhs, smiles, and “OH MY, LOOK AT THE PUPPIES!” 🥹🐶 It was the perfect little outing for some positive socialization and new sights, sounds, and people.

But what about keeping puppies safe in public? 👇

Our veterinarian gave us the okay to take them out as long as we kept them completely off the ground and away from contact with other dogs. So that’s exactly what we did!

🛒 Puppies stayed safely in a shopping buggy
🧻 P*e pad underneath with a clean sheet over it
🐾 No paws on the floor
🐕 No sniffing or nosing other dogs
⏰ We were there for less than 30 minutes

They got plenty of gentle attention from people while remaining safely contained in their buggy. ❤️

Then it was home for water, Maple let everyone have a little nursing session, they had some kibble… and then every single puppy conked out in the Puppy Palace. 😂💤

A very successful little adventure for these babies! 🐾💛

Was your guess on vet-appointment time close?

Yesterday was 6-week vet day for the Jitter Bugs litter! And apparently, Maple had decided that the best way to celebrate was to make them WORK for that first nursing session. 😂

The puppies chased 🍁Momma Maple all over the exam room while she hopped up on the bench, down from the bench, around the room, and anywhere else she thought the puppies couldn’t follow. Spoiler: they followed. 🤣 Eventually, they caught her and got their nursing session in.

Then it was puppy time! 🩺🐶 The pups went out two at a time for their exams and vaccines while the rest of us waited.

And while we waited on those f***l results, the entire crew completely crashed. 😂 They were asleep under the bench and piled on top of the vent like they had just run a marathon.

Good news: EVERYONE had a negative f***l! 🎉 That means no additional deworming was needed.
Total vet time:
⏱️ UNDER ONE HOUR!

Three vet techs helped wrangle the crew, and we got to see both veterinarians. Everyone was examined, vaccinated, tested, declared healthy, and is officially on track to go home at the end of August! ❤️

And after all that excitement?

They came home and slept for FOUR HOURS. 😂

Honestly, I think the puppies were exhausted from the appointment… and Maple was exhausted from trying to escape them. 🍁🤣

Six weeks old, healthy, growing like weeds, and getting closer and closer to meeting their families! 🐾❤️

❤️ RED IS STILL LOOKING FOR HIS FUREVER HOME ❤️

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about ❤️Red, it’s this:

His favorite thing in the whole world might just be PEOPLE. 😍

Two nights ago, all seven puppies were out of the Puppy Palace running around the living room. While everyone else was busy exploring, ❤️Red chose to spend his free-run time with Jeff. Kisses. Snuggles. Tail wags. Just happy to be with his person. ❤️

Tonight, I climbed into the Puppy Palace to play with the puppies. They were all busy wrestling and playing with each other… except ❤️Red.

He was busy with me. 😍

Chewing on my fingers. Rolling over for belly rubs. Making the BEST eye contact. Climbing into my lap. Just completely focused on his person.

❤️Red’s favorite thing just might be people.

And honestly? It makes perfect sense.

His daddy, Bugs, has ALWAYS loved people. In fact, Bugs would choose hanging out with people over treats—which is saying something for a Golden Retriever! 😂 His love of people has been well documented here on our Jitter Bugs Golden Retrievers page.

🍁Mama Maple loves her balls.

Daddy Bugs loves his people.

And apparently, ❤️Red inherited that part of his daddy’s personality. ❤️

So if you’re looking for a Golden Retriever who wants to be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your little sidekick, and basically thinks being with his people is the best place to be…

You might want to meet ❤️Red. 🐾

He’s still waiting for the person who will look at him and say,
“Yep. That’s my boy.” ❤️
