📣 Woodstock MD, Baltimore County - this pup is now safe from the cold!
Does anyone recognize this sweet but emaciated Little Girl? 🐾
She was being seen on Marriottsville Road in the woods, but wouldn’t come to anybody. Erin E Johnson made a post and sent the location.
She was so skinny and in this cold it wasn’t a good situation so they reached out to Lost Animal Resource Group - LARG & Bob Swensen for help.
Bob brought a trap immediately and when he got there, he was looking for her and she was very barky, probably being protective and scared.
Bob quickly set the trap, and all of a sudden Kelly Granahan who volunteers at BARCS showed up to help. We set the trap and then saw that she was about 50 feet away so we moved the trap closer and she came running towards us so we kept our distance. As we were moving the trap, the door was closed.
The trap already had liquid smoke and royal Farms chicken in it, but it wasn’t set - and she sniffed all around it. Not wanting to push her to react, Bob pulled his van next to the trap and quickly set it and retreated.
She tried to get to the food from the back, but eventually figured out she had to go through the door.
It didn’t take her long to go in and when the door closed, she didn’t even blink. (video In comments)
As we lifted her into the van, she was nervous, but as we fed her yummy food, she relaxed a little and Angelica Kim stopped by and brought more yummy food.
In the van and out to Baltimore County Animal Services and she was nervous and barking while she was in the trap, but there were also several people around, which made her nervous. Once inside and the door to the trap was open, she came out very nicely, had a very relaxed body language and was taking treats and even sat for us.
BCAS will take good care of her. Unknown if she has a chip, but had no other identification.
