🌺 Meet Georgie! 🌺

Say hello to the newest resident at Paterson Bird Store — Georgie, an adorable 21 year old Blue Headed Pionus 🦜

Georgie was surrendered to us a little while ago. Though she’s a little shy and prefers to keep to herself, she’s been slowly coming out of her shell especially around our amazing staff (and she might just have a soft spot for our manager Adam)

Her favorite hobbies? Munching on fruit and watching her favorite movies like A Bug’s Life and Aladdin (she’s definitely spoiled since she has her very own TV upstairs 😅)

Stop by to say hi and give Georgie a warm welcome! She’s already stealing hearts here at the store ❤️

Meet Roger! A stunning Male Red Bellied Parrot who was hatched on 9/24/2024

Roger is an extremely sweet, funny and loving boy who has a soft spot for the ladies! Roger absolutely loves to be around people and just wants to be held all day long. He is a huge fan of fresh chop and will definitely be open to trying new foods.
Roger already has a pretty good vocabulary as his favorite things to say are: “Hi mommy” “Gimme a kiss” “Hi Roger”

❤️ Congo African Grey ❤️

Say hello to Sebastian a beautiful 6 year old Congo African Grey! Sebastian is an extremely intelligent and sweet grey who is looking for a new home. He/She is not DNA tested so we are unsure of Sebastian’s gender but they are as sweet as ever.

Sebastian says a few words such as hi and hello but can also sing lullabies! Of course like every African Grey, these birds need lots of mental stimulation and interaction to keep them happy and healthy.
Sebastian doesn’t do well around kids as he gets extremely stressed out and will start plucking, as you can see in the photos. A good home for Sebastian would be with adults and teenagers who can be patient and understanding with him/her.

🚨 Found Conure 🚨

Yesterday night we had someone bring in a Sun Conure they found outside in Fort Lee near a baseball field. We are currently looking for this birds owner in hopes of reuniting them.
If you think this could be your bird, feel free to shoot us a message so we can determine if this is your bird. Currently the sun conure is being cared for by our staff members and making sure he/she is safe and happy

We will require evidence in order to claim the conure 🦜

🤍 Creasted Tangerine Ringneck Dove 🤍

Check out this handsome little boy that has flown into PBS! This cutie is only a few months old and is extremely sweet and hand tamed. Ringneck Doves are one of the smaller species of Doves and are known for being extremely sweet, social and docile. These guys make excellent pets and should NEVER be released outside.

Doves are extremely underrated and are actually known for being one of the best pet birds to own! They can learn so many neat tricks, be recalled trained and will want to just hang out with you.

🦜 We will be picky about who is interested in this little boy as we will NOT sell to anyone that wants to release him, clip his wings or have him in a small cage as he needs lots of room to fly.
He is a pet dove, NOT a bird to be released outside for ceremonies as he will not survive outside.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved store mascot, Delta, on Sunday, May 11th at around 8:10pm

Delta was more than just a bird-he was family to us and a joyful part of our store. Recently, he developed a rapidly growing lump under his abdomen, which the vet confirmed was cancer and the only way to treat it was to have him undergo surgery.

Despite our hopes, he passed peacefully.
Delta was always a happy go lucky bird who made whatever room he was in brighter. He absolutely loved dancing, whistling and just being a silly little boy. Since arriving to the store back in 2023, Delta had always been super bonded to our staff members: Rachel & Ari who spoiled him rotten with treats, kisses and cuddles. He would always be on our counter in the front of the store knocking things over, trying to eat anything he could find and stealing our paperwork. Delta’s last moments were spent with his 2 favorite people in the world. There will never be a bird as special as Delta was. Thank you to everyone who would come in to say hi to delta, ask about him and see how much he was loved ❤️🕊️

Introducing our goofy and stunning Cape Parrot! We haven’t had one of these babies in years so we are super excited to be raising this cutie at the store.

Cape Parrots are apart of the Poicephalus family which includes Senegal, Meyers and Red Bellied Parrots! Cape Parrots are the largest of the family and are known for being incredibly intelligent, sweet and happy go lucky!

Wanna meet our sweet baby? We are open Monday-Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm 🦜

Military Macaws are known for having a huge personality and being one of the more stubborn and nippier macaws.

We are still awaiting the dna results for this cutie but are accepting deposits! Stop in to meet this huge cuddle bug!
