Meet Max! 🐾 He’s been part of our TAH family for over 7 years, and his 8th birthday is just around the corner 🎉. Max was very cooperative for his photoshoot as long as he got his treats after! We love watching him grow and can’t wait to see him again next year!

We all know most cats aren’t exactly fans of their carriers, but getting them used to it can make vet visits WAY less stressful—and it could be a lifesaver in an emergency. 🏥✨ Here are some tips to help your cat feel comfortable in their carrier:

1. Start Slowly: Place the carrier in a spot your cat already loves. Leave the door open and add comfy bedding & a favorite toy. You can even cover it with a blanket to make it feel cozy! 🛏️

2. Food Near the Carrier: Put your cat’s food bowl just outside the carrier to encourage them to explore. Gradually move it closer, then inside. Soon, they’ll associate it with something positive! 🍽️

3. Treats Inside: Leave tasty treats inside to encourage curiosity. Let them explore and find rewards on their own! 🍬

4. Close the Door: Once they’re comfortable, practice closing the door for short periods while they’re eating. Slowly build up to longer times.

5. Move the Carrier: Once your cat is cool with being inside, gently move the carrier around your home. The more they get used to it, the easier travel will be! 🚙

Remember, patience and treats go a long way. Your cat will thank you when their next vet visit is calm and stress-free! 😺
