Jake's mom here.

Today has been one of the toughest days of my life: saying goodbye to one of the bestest friends anybody could have ever asked for.

Jake, I and so many people from all over, both online and real life, will miss you so much. You have touched so many hearts and have made so many people happy just by you being you, so thank you for being such an amazing (and my first ever) pug.

Despite me crying for days leading up to today, and I'm sure for many more, I'm glad that one of my last photos with you taken on such a sad day has me smiling for you are and will always be so near and dear to my heart. To match, I've paired it with one of the first photos I ever took with you when you first came into my life and into my arms at three months old on 3/9/14.

You have been my loyal companion and rock ever since that day. I am and always will be forever grateful that I got to be your mom. I would go through this day over and over again for eternity if I got to have another chance to keep having amazing adventures with you. Groot & I will keep on having adventures, always with you in spirit and our hearts. I know you too will have so many amazing adventures of your own across the rainbow bridge.

Because, what time is it? Adventure time!

We'll miss you, buddy! Minnie & Max the Pugs

It is with deep sadness and profound sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our precious pug, Max. Max was the kind of dog a fiction writer might create for a children’s storybook...too good to be true. He was filled with the joy of life and he shared that joy with us, and everyone he met, every day. He remained the same sweet, affectionate, playful and loyal soul he was in his puppy days throughout his life and ultimately to the very end.

Max began developing progressive respiratory issues in February, which suddenly became worse in recent weeks. Despite the best efforts of some very talented veterinarians, we made the decision to let Max cross the rainbow bridge peacefully and without suffering. Heaven has a new angel.

Max, along with his sister Minnie, led an unusually full and active life that saw him travel throughout the country making countless friends, both four-legged and human. Minnie and Max’s relatively large following on social media has allowed us the unique pleasure of sharing their lives with others while also helping to raise funds for various animal rescue groups. Max did a lot of good in this life.

As we grieve, we will now turn our attention to his sister, Minnie. We commit to giving her all the love and affection we once shared between the two of them. goes on.
