I’ve put this off as long as possible in hopes things would improve but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case. As some of you are aware I’ve struggled with chronic health problems for a number of years. Unfortunately since having my daughter my health has declined significantly. For the time being I will not be seeing new clients. For those of you who I’ve worked with in the past feel free to reach out if something comes up. I may be able to accommodate a virtual consultation. This has been an incredibly difficult decision but the safety of the dogs and people I work with is always my top priority. Currently I’m just not healthy enough to safely and consistently meet for private lessons.

Our sweet girl arrived safe and sound last week. We are incredibly grateful and enjoying the newborn bliss♥️ I’ll be on maternity leave until May. When I resume seeing clients I’ll post on here as well as send out an email!

Hello All,

As some of you are aware I’ve been dealing with a really challenging high risk pregnancy. There’s a lot of uncertainty about when our girl may make her arrival and if she may need some extra help when she gets here. My goal is to always make sure that people get the help they need and that I try to the best of my ability to always get people scheduled in a timely manner. I do not feel like I can continue scheduling new clients at this time in case baby decides to come early or I have additional complications. After our girl gets here and I can resume taking new clients I’ll be sure to give you all an update. Thank you so much for your understanding as I navigate this uncertain time!

So often, social media and popular culture try to draw you in on an emotional level to internalize your dog’s behaviour.

Why?

Because you hold the credit card.

Now, I’m not saying that our behaviour and interactions don’t impact our dog’s, because they do. What I am saying is that the more you believe that your dog’s behaviour is your fault and there is something wrong with YOU, the more ideas, products and services can be sold to you because you are emotionally vulnerable.

The moral compass of right and wrong when it comes to behaviour is not helpful.
Shift the perspective to “is this healthy?”

Emotions run high when it comes to our dogs. They are family. This is understandable.

When you can start to look at behaviour as a function you will have a clearer understanding of how to help your dog.

I’m always looking for ways to make training accessible to more people and I know that cost can be a big barrier. My hope is that this webinar will offer people an affordable way to get important information if their dog is struggling. This webinar will also be beneficial for animal professionals like dog walkers, groomers, vet staff, and shelter workers/volunteers.

This will be a comprehensive presentation with time for questions at the end. In the future this will likely be broken up into several shorter webinars so this is a great value for the money. After the webinar concludes, I’ll be sending out an email that includes videos and additional resources in a Google Drive. The webinar will be recorded for later viewing and for those who cannot attend the live event.

Does your dog love other dogs but barks and lunges when seeing them on walks?
