Ivory checked out the dog park for her first time over the weekend! She was a tad nervous, but any time she felt a little unsure, she just came straight back to her human ๐Ÿฅน and she surprisingly showed some really great recall! Sometimes even the timid ones surprise us with what they know. ๐Ÿฉท

Fostering the "scared ones" as we call them means that we have to know how to balance pushing them out of their comfort zone and protecting + respecting them when they show us that something might be too much.

This was one of those days. She did MUCH better than expected during this short adventure. We even walked around and got some exposure with new humans!

She's such a sweet girl and everyone was very drawn to her + respectful of her boundaries. If you saw us out there checking things out, thank you for saying hi and showing Ivory that people can be kind and safe! These little outings are incredibly important for her healing. โœจ

Happy Saturday, friends!

Hopping on with a few special requests this weekend for our sweet foster ๐Ÿฉท

Ivory came to us as a bit of a picky eater. In an effort to help her be less dependent on human food, we've begun to include some Purina Pro Plan wet food mixed in with her kibble and she is LOVING it. Like.... "Licking her bowl CLEAN - loving it." ๐Ÿ˜‚

We do our very best to stretch the cans into several meals because they're a bit pricey. Would anybody like to gift her a box or two of her favorite food? ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

She's such a gentle and sweet love bug who loves her people deeply. She's looking for a fresh start to life, a cozy couch, and her perfect family!

We love taking our fosters to Veterinary Medical Center of Athens ! Our Danes always feel like MVPs (but maybe they make everyone feel that way ๐Ÿ˜‚), and they always get the very best care.

This weekend, Miss Ivory not only got a clean bill of health, but also received a full grooming service from their amazing team. Everyone commented on how sweet she is - which only confirms what we already knew - she is super easy to love. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

This week she'll finally be getting spayed, and then she'll officially be a retired lady. We have no doubt that she was a great Mama, but she deserves a life free of that now. Soon, (hopefully), she'll be snuggling up on a comfy couch with her forever family, and all of the endless sleepless nights will be behind her. She deserves that peace. ๐Ÿฉท

After that she'll be ready for adoption!
We would love to see her go to somebody local, as she's quickly become a foster favorite over here.
