🐍🐍🐍 A Payson resident moved a piece of metal during yard clean up.... And heard a BUZZ 🐍🐍 They IMMEDIATELY called me! When I arrived I was met by this BEAUTIFUL Black-Tailed Rattlesnake (Crotalus Molosuss)!! This beautiful was safely removed and then released into a suitable micro habitat where it can thrive without human contact! 🐍🐍🐍

🐍🐍 Something to Consider... 🐍🐍 I recently saw someone post, "If you have an opportunity to be the voice for an animal... Do It!"!!! 🐍🐍 THAT STATEMENT, is EXACTLY why I do what I do with rattlesnakes! THAT is why I drop everything I'm doing in the moment when I get a snake call! And I'm sorry to say it, but more often than not, when most people encounter a rattlesnake, their immediate response is to eliminate it (FYI, Statistically, 1/3 of rattlesnake bites happen when an individual is trying to harm the snake). Which is truly unfortunate considering that the presence of a rattlesnake (or any snake) is a sign of a healthy ecosystem. Not only that, but, finding a rattlesnake (or any other snake)on a property are a symptom OF the property itself!!🤯 Rattlesnakes are NOT the problem! There are many things that can be done to make your property (that is likely located within THEIR home area) become less attractive to rattlesnakes! AND when relocation is done PROPERLY (meaning done by an professional that is LICENSED, like myself and not your neighbor down the street that has a bucket and shovel or most fire departments even unfortunately), it is HIGHLY unlikely that the snake will return! Baby Rattlesnakes are born via LIVE Birth between August and September (sometimes a little earlier or later depending on climate)! 🤯 New babies are born with only a Pre-Button which means they do NOT have the ability to rattle (it takes at least 3 segments to make any sounds)! 🐍 Which means that for the next few months anyone with pets that have not had aversion training, anyone enjoying the outdoors, and home owners should try to be extra cautious ESPECIALLY early in the morning and in the evenings! They are NOT more venomous and dangerous than adults but, you will not hear one if it is near and feels threatened!🐍🐍
