Established in 2002 we are a 501-c non profit rescue shelter. SAVE takes unwanted, homeless and abandoned animals and provides them with medical care and a safe and nurturing environment until they find there forever homes. SAVE is a no kill shelter. SAVE Rescue Shelter is at 1594 Lakewood Rd Unit 5 Toms River, NJ 08755 Adoption times T,W,F,SA 1pm-4pm TH 2pm-5pm Or by Appt. 732-831-4291. SAVE has an additional adoption center located at the Brick PetSmart. Adoption Hours are Sat-Sun 12pm-3pm We also show our adoptable pets at the Brick Petco located on Route 70. By taking part in discussions on our page, you are agreeing to the policy outlined below. While we strongly encourage open discussion and amiable debating on relevant topics, abusive language, bullying or chronic harassment of SAVE supporters is not accepted. If you continually violate our policy, you will be removed from our page. SAVE Adoption Process and Fees: All adopters must be 24 years of age and over. All applicants must fill out an application. All applicants must have a Veterinarian reference, If they have never owned a pet before, they must provide a friend or relative with a Veterinarian reference and they will be given 7-10 days after adoption, to establish a relationship with a Veterinarian. All applicants must prove ownership of home or be at a rental for at least 2 years. Your rental/lease must show you are allowed pets or you must provide a letter and phone contact of your landlord. It is at S.A.V.E.'s discretion to conduct a home visit. If you adopt a pet from us that is too young to spay/neuter and you are required to do so by a certain date, you must show proof it was done by that time. Adoption papers enable owner to use State Spay Program (we will provide a list of participating Vets) for $20.00+ Rabies $15. All family members including spouse, friend, significant other and children must be in agreement to adopt and attend the meet and greet. Adoption Fee is acceptable in cash, check, or money order (NO credit cards accepted). S.A.V.E. has the right to reclaim an animal if the adopter falsified any information on their application. S.A.V.E reserves the right to follow up on the progress of the adoption. If for any reason you are unable to keep this animal S.A.V.E. requests the animal be returned to them. SAVE reserves the right to refuse any adoption. *ADOPTION FEES* Include the following: Vaccinations, Microchip,FIV/FELV Testing, & worming (cats) All Vaccinations, HW Testing, Worming (dogs) If age appropriate will be spayed (cats & dogs) Cats
Kittens up to 6 months old $100 (Does not include spay/neuter. $50 cash deposit for spay/neuter. Once proof is received, deposit will be returned. We will provide you with low cost spay/neuter options or you can choose to use your own vet). Cats over 6 months up to 5 years of age $75 Cats over 5 years old $50 Senior for Senior rate (cats over 5 and person adopting over 55) $25
Dogs
Puppies up to 6 months old $375 (Does not include spay/neuter. $100 cash deposit for spay/neuter. Once proof is received, deposit will be returned. We will provide you with low cost spay/neuter options or you can choose to use your own vet). Dogs 7 months to 5 years old $325 includes spay/neuter ($200 cash deposit for any dogs not spayed/neutered that will be applied toward the adoption fee. Balance due when dog is picked up after spay/neuter surgery). Dogs over 5 years old $225 (Includes spay/neuter) Senior for Senior rate (dogs over 5 to person adopting over 55) $175.00 Military, Law Enforcement or EMTs receive $25 Discount on dogs 7 months or older only
