I hadn’t posted here until now. I did post it on Facebook on my page about the sorry pos that broke into our concession stand over the holidays. We filled a police report and they completely wiped us out on supplies. Cokes, candy, chips, trash bags anything they could carry. Betty and I spent all day Friday cleaning and repairing locks and doors they kicked in. This wasn’t kids. It was adults. The footprints they left were like a size 16 tennis shoe. Just thought I would let everyone know and hope all had Merry Christmas and will have a prosperous New Year!

Good Morning-With the ongoing cases of EHV-1 Virus and for the well-being of our Equine Partners, SRRC is cancelling the 12/6/25 show. We do plan on rescheduling it possibly on 1/10/26, but first of all we need to follow the protocol from the Texas Animal Commission. Our Prayers and Thoughts go out to Everyone who is impacted by this outbreak.

SRRC is aware of the recent EHV-1 virus outbreak affecting the barrel racing community, and our thoughts are with all our equine friends and their owners during this time.
While we have not received any reports of positive EHV-1 cases from horses that attended our 11/15 race, we do know that several horses present on Saturday also participated in events where confirmed exposure occurred.
We strongly encourage everyone to follow the guidance of local veterinary professionals and adhere to all recommended biosecurity protocols. Staying home with potentially exposed horses, practicing diligent sanitation, and limiting travel are essential steps in helping prevent further spread of the BHV-1 virus.
Thank you for doing your part to keep our horses and community safe.

It is with sad hearts that we say goodbye too a long standing member of SRRC that did so much for the club and a man that helped so many kids in their equine journeys. Mr. J. C Hotten has passed away today to be with his family in heaven. He will surely be missed by all. RIP cowboy.
