First time at the park for 6-month-old Theo! 🐾✨
Spoiler alert: He did fantastic, but our park trip probably looked a little different than most people think it should.
Instead of marching right into the middle of the action, we hung out way off to the side, away from the chaos. Why? Because a puppy’s first experience in a big, new environment should be about building confidence, not testing their limits.
Here is your friendly reminder for your puppy's first big outing:
Distance is your best friend: Let them sit, observe, and process the world from afar where they feel completely safe.
Skip the pressure: They don’t need to meet every dog or person they see today.
Play the long game: They have the rest of their lives to interact with the world. Right now, it’s just about teaching them that new places are fun and safe.
Keep it simple. Keep it fun. Good boy, Theo! ❤️
