WE AREN’T “JUST A DOG DAYCARE.” AND HERE’S WHY…
At K9 Elite, we believe dogs deserve more than a place to spend the day. They deserve an environment where they can learn, grow, build confidence, practice good manners, and simply be dogs.
We aren’t an open-play facility where dogs are left to entertain themselves all day. We are a structured, enrichment-based dog daycare that puts thought, purpose, and intention into what we do.
So, what does that actually mean? These are the five core items we work on each and every day.
🐾 STRUCTURE & MANNERS
🧠 MENTAL ENRICHMENT
🐕 APPROPRIATE SOCIALIZATION
💪 CONFIDENCE BUILDING
🎓 TRAINING THROUGHOUT THE DAY
Let’s talk about something important, the training we offer through out the day is NOT a guarantee. Just because your dog attends K9 Elite doesn’t mean they will automatically master every skill we practice here, and just because we incorporate training into our day doesn’t mean we can promise a particular behavioral outcome.
Our program is not a “drop your dog off at daycare for 10 hours and they will come home 100% trained” or even comparable to board and train.
We can introduce skills, create opportunities to practice, reinforce behaviors, provide guidance, and help build a foundation. But we cannot control every variable, guarantee that a dog will respond perfectly, or replace the continued practice and follow-through needed at home.
The fact that we incorporate training into our daycare does not mean we can guarantee every dog will perform perfectly at home, eliminate behavioral issues overnight, or leave here fully trained. Anyone who truly understands dog behavior knows that’s not how learning works.
Progress depends on owner consistency and involvement, reinforcement, genetics, environment, the handler, and what happens outside our doors.
We build the foundation.
We create opportunities for success.
Owners MUST to continue that work at home & listen to professional recommendations, implement them, stay consistent & reinforce the training or your dog will only display the behaviors learned at daycare.
It states in our consent to play form that is given to each and every client that brings their dog to play:
“I understand that the K9 Elite Doggie Day Camp program is, first and foremost, a daycare and enrichment program. While training is a large aspect of this program, it is not primarily a training program and is not intended to address serious behavioral concerns. I understand that K9 Elite will be working through a set curriculum with my dog and not a personalized program created to suit my personal goals. I understand that results are not guaranteed.”
We’re honest about that because we’d rather educate people than make unrealistic promises and false hope that our program will guarantee results. We’ve spent years building a program that looks different from the average daycare, and we are continuing to evolve as time goes on. We’ve helped puppies gain confidence, reactive dogs learn better coping skills, shy dogs come out of their shells, and high-drive dogs find appropriate outlets.
So, no—we’re not “just a dog daycare”
We’re a structured, enrichment-based program that invests in dogs every single day. We are professionals who just aren’t in it for the money, we are here for the positive impact of ALL dogs who cross through our doors.
Anyone who’s watched our dogs work, grow, and succeed already knows the difference.
