Pros- Moe was used for trail riding most of his life. He does best in a group setting. He’s easy to handle, stands tied, stands to be groomed and tacked. Lowers his head to be bridled. Would do best for a confident, intermediate rider.
Good for vet and farrier.
He could be a great walk/trot English 4-H horse with some work. Will move out, but prefers slow and steady. Has a great stop. Don’t let his age fool you, he doesn’t look or act it.
Does best two handed, but will go one handed with a little assistance.
Good with dogs and a feral toddler on a battery powered tractor.
Cons- Would be best suited for a geldings only herd. He likes to be at the top of the pecking order. Has a little stiffness going to the right, but otherwise great. Started on a supplement and seems to be doing better. Would benefit from being in a consistent program.
