Pablo beat extraordinary odds.
What did it take?

~1,400 volunteer hours
69 donations totaling $15,762
$12,697 in medical, hospital, transportation, and quarantine
~$1890 in feed
~1100 in board, feed, supplements and bedding.

What now?
Pablo will give back tenfold in equine-assisted learning, pre-vocational and volunteer programs.

We never know what we’re going to get when we rescue, and Pablo was a very difficult and expensive case. Thank you all so much, with special appreciation to Millbrook Equine Veterinary Clinic PC for their amazing efforts.

This is a joyful post!
Community rehab is what we do best and our newest rescue, Turtle, has a wonderful life in store.

We're picking him up on June 21st from Western PA where he is quarantining. It appears he's both been in a nasty accident and been kept inside for his young life, because his tendons are loose and his growth is stunted at the moment. The good news is that what he needs most is fresh air, strengthening, good nutrition, and love. (Medical attention is a given and is all lined up, along with the farrier, and he's already had a preliminary trim.)

So join us! We offer free and low-cost pre-vocational and equine assisted learning programs in addition to a robust volunteer program, and all ages and abilities are welcome!
