This weeks wrap up!

Arrow had his first ever ride this week! Arrow has recently entered our travel training program in hopes to one day be a grandkids horse! This guy is smart and willing but also has a very strong personality that can take over at times. Very excited for his journey!

Chili is really getting the hang of moving out finally! This girl has taken so much time and effort into an extensive amount of desensitization, patience and understanding. After many hours she finally moves out into the slow and steady horse her owners desire.

Maisie has been working hard on speed control and watching her feet/surroundings. This girl has been here to prep for being safe for all littles! So much spook has left and so much patience has been gained.

Cassie has been working on big things with her owner and working towards the goal of trail rides and fun shows! This girl can be quite strong willed on the ground but in the saddle? You’ve never met a sweeter horse!

Della and Sugar Baby (Babe) have been hard at work prepping for the Junior horse show!

Jordyn prepped Tigger for their first ever show and brought home both a 2nd and 3rd place ribbon! Unbelievably proud of this team and all the hard work they’ve put in so far!

Witch had his first ride of the year while he still fills out a bit more as well as Zoey drastically filling out while in her new pasture!

Hallie and Lorrilynn had their first lesson together last night. Lorrilynn had to learn how to stop, back, walk, and turn her horse! I couldn’t be blessed more with such a great team of gentle horses!

Also worked a few horses up at the Flying W Ranch yesterday! Gorgeous scenery and such friendly people to work with up there! Check them out if you’re ever looking to go for a ride!

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ~ Matthew 11:28

Lots and lots of lessons these last two days!

Tuesday started off with Layla and Hallie doing a lesson focusing on her seat and using leg. She then got to take her first ride on her very own horse Cassie who has been with us for training! Cassie had a training session and three different riders that day and handled it like a champ!

Rip and Harlee had one of there last practices here before he goes home at the end of the month. The difference in these two from their first lesson to this one is dramatic!

Rip then stayed and did another lesson with Della shortly after! Della got to practice her seat on a different horse while experiencing the “fanciness” placed on Rip to build onto her own horse.

Aditi had a little session working on the bridge and is slowly becoming more comfortable with it!

Jordyn had a lesson on Tigger focusing on confidence and trot control. We’re finally able to fast and slow trot Tigger while slowly learning her buttons.

Both Della and Jordyn then took Zoey out and brushed till there little heart’s desired! They both just had to sit on her while they begged me to ride her around in the dark🤣

Hallie had a lesson with me Wednesday brining a rider back into the saddle after knee surgery!

Poncho and Lorrilynn had a great little lesson yesterday night! Lorrilynn learned what it feels like to have our toes stepped on right after we talked about the importance of keeping our horse out away from us! She was a champ about it and kept walking on (Just much more careful this time😉) Towards the end she got to ride Poncho for the very first time! I think her smile says all it needs to!

Chili (unfortunately not pictured because my phone fell while recording) has been working on lots of desensitization with yoga balls, tarps, saddles, and more. This girl has a long mental process ahead of her and just hasn’t given me the signs telling he she’s ready for more quite yet.

I’d love to give Miss Lakynzee and Liam a shout out for helping out around the farm lately! These two come volunteer to clean Witches stall in exchange for some brush time with him❤️

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. ~

Three different lease opportunities!

Poncho - Available for show/experienced lease
16 hand 10 year old gelding. Poncho has the most experience in the show jumping world. He’s trained mainly off seat, leg, and patience. Poncho has a naturally slow gait but a ton of speed if asked for it. In the past he has competed and even won a few local gaming shows. Ponchos being offered for lease to an intermediate/experienced rider for any discipline. He has a few small quirks and really loves to be worked. He’s a different ride than some but not complicated if your simply willing to learn and ride with calmness. He currently lopes a nice barrel pattern for me and takes a jump like a champ. He’s the type of horse that prefers to be ridden consistently even if your going on a trail ride. He does not prefer cattle due to past experiences. This is something we are working on since he’s been back home.

Witch - Available for therapy/care lease
15.1 hand 11 year old gelding. Witch is a completely blind and gentle guy. He’s being offered to any individual just hoping to get more experience around horses whether that’s leading, brushing, bathing or light riding. He will be our lowest priced lease due to his small disability. He may be blind but this does not stop him from being able to be treated like any other horse we have. The main difference? Lots of vocal cues and using common sense (no he’s not gonna jump or run a barrel pattern).

Zoey - Available for 4H/Showing/Plain ride lease
17.2 hand 12 year old mare. Zoey is an extremely gentle and well rounded Clydesdale mare. She has impressive ground manners and is built very correct. Zoey is rideable but will need someone confident for riding. No she’s not dangerous but if your nervous she just kinda refuses to move🤣 She has a lofty walk, trot, canter, and solid and quick stop, gentle back, and spins by engaging her hind end. She was broke to drive as a 3 year old but had been a broodmare for a few years afterwards. We will be attempting to drive her soon. She’d be perfect for someone looking for more experience with draft breeds or even a 4H student looking to show a second horse.

Hallie girl saving my butt this weekend with a last minute horse switch when heading to Sundance! This big girl definitely isn’t the fastest horse out there but she’ll run a clean pattern and keep you safe.
She ran us a 18.192 this weekend landing us right around the middle of the group. I cannot wait to see her and Emily compete in youth rodeos this summer!

We are truly blessed with you Hallie❤️ Thanks for being the reliable girl we know and love.

Jack ♠️

Jack came to me at the beginning of the month with some issues. Jack unfortunately picked up quite the bucking habit and would throw you off without a second thought. I was told when I got him that sometimes you have great rides and sometimes he throws you. I dug deep into his history and found different cues that caused these reactions. When Jack came he was pretty head shy, reactive, impatient, and nervous. Jack has slowly learned to stand tied for extended periods of time without pulling back or pawing. No longer flinches at the saddle and rather stands with confidence. He’s beginning to have a calmer demeanor and relax before acting out. While riding Jack I’ve found he’s quite confused and doesn’t know much of what you’re asking. He would fidget at a trot and half halt without being asked. In time he’s gained confidence and instead of hunching his hind when confused he thinks through situations and try’s again. Jacks learning to stay in between my hands as well as underneath himself when asked rather than panicking or refusing. This little guy is so smart and just needs to unlock his full potential again! Hopefully in the next coming weeks when all his kinks are worked out he will be offered in our program as a little all around pony! Hoping to get him on cattle this summer as well. Keep an eye out for this guy when he becomes available for in barn lease.

These three are off to a great start!

Cassie had her first ride back after years and years of sitting! When she came in I was slightly worried if she’d pick back up nicely. Thankfully with lots of groundwork we have a beautiful and light walk, trot, back, hind engagement, flexing and more!

Chili started her session a bit fearful of the saddle. After a lot of time and practice we slowly worked up to getting it on her. Tons of saddle prep later we added weight and sat in the saddle for the first time. Now this girl isn’t quite ready for a full ride but definitely benefit from the desensitization.

Taft took his first walk around the ring today under saddle. As a trainer I’m constantly reminded that I’m always learning. Taft has had so much saddle prep and learning respect however he struggled with his first steps today. He didn’t try anything to funny but needs a bit more ground work before we’ll continue riding. Sometimes we need to take a few steps back and refine more to have a successful ending.

Overall today was a great day and an awesome start for these guys! When the time is right we ride. I’m very excited to continue and encourage these guys to grow and expand their minds. Allowing them to process and think is such a beautiful thing to see. The licking, chewing, head drops, and attention I’m getting from these guys amazes me!

Thank you to all my lovely clients who have entrusted me with their equine.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. ~ Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
