What a fun way to learn our horses body parts on a rainy day yesterday!

Boo did her first official lesson on the ground. The rain decided to interfere as soon as Cora got here so plans changed quick! A little bit of horse safe chalk paint and and hour later we have most of our practiced parts memorized. I truly believe this was such a fun and interactive way to learn the parts of a horse.

Just some updates over the last week!

We are welcoming Apollo into training! He is a stunning partially blind gelding here for a general education course. Apollo is blind on his left side (the side used for almost everything) we will be working on many things over the course of this next month!

Arrow will be continuing his stay through this next month to expand his new knowledge under saddle. We recently started this beautiful guy on saddle work and will continue to work with him on desensitization, respect, boundaries, and more.

I’d like to proudly announce that Jordyn will be advancing to the districts show with Tigger! Jordyn is such a talented young girl who always leaves the ring with a smile on her face. She endured multiple challenges this weekend and managed to work with each one of them. She took Hazel in her first ever show and just due to a simple mistake missed the districts line. Hazel and Jordyn managed to keep going no matter what they ran into! Tigger and Jordyn placed 1st in English Pleasure and 2nd in English Equitation! Her biggest challenge of the year has been showmanship with Tigger. Even while they didn’t make it to the district show in this class Jordyn came out of the ring with a smile on her face simply because of her trotting on the ground! This girl always seems to impress me with her willing attitude.

On that note Jordyn has also begun to start working with yet another one of our horses. She has practiced with Boo, Hazel, and Tigger for many hours this last week. She’s working toward her goal of jumping in the near future!

Hallie has been such a reliable member of my barn the last few days! She has done lessons with Mara, Cora, and Lorrilynn this week. She has taught all three of these girls to trot! The dedication and commitment these girls have to learning is amazing. What else is amazing?? Lorrilynn has cleaned her first stall this week! This girl used to have a horrible fear of manure but is slowly overcoming it to be able to own her own horse one day!

Just a few updates from the last few weeks!

Hazel is doing amazing and taking on so many different things! From doing lessons to trying different disciplines this girl is a dream to have!

On that note Tigger and Hazel participated in their very first parade! They were the youngest two horses to participate in the parade and I couldn’t have asked them to be any better behaved. Neither had any care about the nose, people, and chaos. I was especially proud of Hazel dealing with Jordyn’s cape🤣

Little Miss Lorrylinn had a HUGE accomplishment learning to ride all by herself! We’re working on staying focused, steering our horse and safety skills!

Bonding with my newest member Boo has been an adventure! Learning to click with a new horse can be hard. Especially when you’re not the one to break them. There is a bright future with this girl and so many plans.

Artemis and Sabina have been doing wonderfully lately! Both are wild mustangs whom I do travel training with weekly. They are both on different learning levels but improving and thinking so well! Artemis is still learning safe touch and Sabina is slowly becoming my buddy!

Last nights adventures!

Hazel and Babe took a trip to 4H! This was Hazels first time being ridden off property and she did wonderfully. This was also Babes first time off property entirely.

The girls came home to discover our newest addition “Malibu” aka Boo! The girls just had to redo all of her braids 😂 She was a good sport about it and hopefully working up to be a new addition in our program!

Hazels first official lesson! Hazel is one of our new additions to our program. Hazel is a three year old mare who still has so much to learn herself. With her extraordinary demeanor and patience she’s on her way to becoming one of our top lesson horses. She did her first official lesson with a 6 year old beginner “Mara” and I couldn’t have asked her to be any better! Hazel is currently in daily/every other day training to continue her knowledge as one of my personal horses as well as lesson horses. I truly got lucky with this girl!

A few of our lessons from the last week! (No not everyone is pictured I forgot to take photos)

Enjoy a few photos of some of our girls and lesson horses! On an awesome note! Hazel our three year old mare did her first beginners lesson and I couldn’t have asked her to be any better! A short video of that will be added separately shortly!

Two very big accomplishments in this photo!

Hazel our newest member had her first ride with Jordyn! Hazel is a 3 year old QH mare who’s just recently started riding! She’s had less than 30ish days and has only had about 5 loping rides. I decided to let Miss Jordyn our second year young rider try her out. Not only did Hazel and Jordyn look gorgeous together they responded so well to one another. Hazel had the cutest lopes with Jordyn around the arena as well as working on backing, stoping, spinning, and more!

Bacardi came in for sale a week or two back! A client of mine purchased her and threw her right into training for a refresher. This girl has come so far so quickly! Della came out wanting to ride and I sent her out to get her! Bacardi took to a new rider very well after a few minutes even pushing for her gentle trot. This girl is forward and spicy sometimes but she sure is smart!

Had a wonderful night tonight working some of my favorite girls❤️

Babe was ponied for the first time tonight! Neither Hallie or Babe have ever ponied here and I decided to try it ba****ck tonight. So happy it went well! Babe also worked on her lunging skills and attention span.

Tigger and Hazel both had amazing rides working on similar things. Tigger worked on a collected canter, moving off of leg in the hind, and for her side pass. She worked on trot boxes, transitions, and lifting her rib cage. Hazel worked on her form, stop, transitions, and overall knowledge. Hazel also went for her first trail ride and took it like a champ!
