Sadie Appreciation Post 💜
At 15 years old, Sadie is the oldest pup at The Den and, without question, the spunkiest. She also holds the unofficial title of Loudest Resident. This girl has opinions, and she makes sure they’re heard. Whether breakfast is running two minutes behind schedule or she needs to go outside immediately, Sadie will happily announce it at a volume that could send even the most seasoned librarian diving for cover.
As vocal as she is, Sadie is every bit as sweet. Our snuggle sessions are top-tier, and her gentle doggy kisses never fail to make me smile. She’s become my little shadow, following me from room to room throughout the day. I’d love to think it’s because she simply can’t get enough of me, but the more likely explanation is that she’s convinced treats magically appear wherever I go.
Sweet Sadie walks with an adorable head tilt thanks to a past bout of vestibular disease - think vertigo for dogs. She also has a grade four heart murmur. Yet neither of those challenges has convinced her to slow down. She still greets each day with enthusiasm, determination, and plenty to say about absolutely everything.
Sadie is proof that age is just a number. She fills The Den with personality, laughter, and love, and we are completely smitten with her. We feel incredibly lucky that this special girl is spending her golden years as part of our pack. 💜🐾
