Grateful to share that I was given the incredible opportunity to take over the collection. For the better part of a decade, Impeccable Gecko has been an industry standard when it comes to ethical genetics and keeping historic bloodlines alive in the Leopard Gecko hobby.

I want to sincerely thank Miles for this opportunity, who I’m fortunate to call a true friend within the hobby - and even more fortunate to consider a friend outside of the hobby now as well.

Miles’ contribution to the hobby has now become part of Leopard Geckos lore, and I’m honored to be able to preserve and push forward his work with projects of his including Albey Snows, Ciphers, and Bell and Rainwater Albinos as well as other obscure lines and morphs.

Through years of having a consistent vision on where Miles wanted to take his projects, Impeccable lines are now fairly easy to spot throughout the hobby. My main objective with acquiring Miles’ collection was to carry on the vision of his passion projects, keeping his lines distinguishable, and ensure that the stamp he made on the hobby can be appreciated for years to come. Stay tuned - because now it’s time to get to work!

Who has taken over my collection you ask?

Well... After 10 seasons, making the decision to move on from geckos has not been easy, and choosing what happened with my collection, even less so. I knew that no matter what I chose to do, there would be people unhappy.

While I faded away into obscurity the last few years as I mostly stopped engaging in the algorithmic popularity contest(s), ceasing most use of social media, I never stopped doing the diligent and ethical work with my animals, albeit on a smaller scale. My hope is that you are able to see some of this work continuing to come further into fruition over the next few years under the care of the new breeder.

After many late nights staring at the ceiling, I chose someone that moves in a way that I respect in the hobby. He has a focus on ethics, innovation, and his work is the result of artistic vision. Much the same way I view(ed) my own work. It was following a conversation in which he asked me, "What will come of all the work you have done over the last 10 years if you bit & piece your collection out?" that I knew he was the one I wanted to continue working with my animals.

Brett over at B&M Gecko now has the entire Impeccable Gecko collection. Besides being someone that I admire within the hobby, he is a genuine human, and fantastic family man that I respect outside of the hobby as well. I am excited to see what he chooses to do integrating the diversity and high-end quality of his collection with my decade of work. I look forward to seeing him utilize his own creativity to realize his own vision(s) moving forward!

All that said, I'll still be around, just without the geckos. I am truly grateful for the many thousands of you that made this all so worth it! I love seeing what the animals I produced have gone on to do, so feel free to send me gecko pics, or drop me a message to talk nerdy to me (genetics)!

PS... I chose not to add any gecko pics in this "signing off" post since I could never pick just a few, or the "best." Pictured is the spot that I stood all day almost every Sunday for the last 10 years cleaning gecko tubs. I wore through 2 layers of epoxy to the concrete.

I meant to post sooner after Tinley, but I had to mourn a few things a bit first.

I no longer have any geckos for the first time in 10 seasons. The breeder that acquired what was left of my collection (about 100 geckos) picked them up at Tinley. The will be identified/announced in the future.

As if moving my collection out wasn't hard enough, I made the biggest mistake of my reptile keeping career during this transition. I grabbed a stack of old deli cups when packing the geckos for their new home... a stack that turns out was UNpunched! 34 of them to be exact. Thankfully this was noticed on Saturday and most of the geckos were saved.

However, my mistake did cause the death of 5 geckos. Two of those that passed were the rarest and a major setback in continuing my work with the Albey Snow gene moving forward. I cannot express my deep sorrow and feeling of failure enough. While mistakes do happen of course, it has always been important to me to live by the fact that we bring these animals into the world, and it is our responsiblity to take care of them well. I failed those 5 animals, and I will regret that for a long time to come.

All of that being said, I am so grateful to some of the dopest customers and fans ever over the years, so thank you! I won't be disappearing from the hobby completely by any means, but things will be looking different moving forward. 🤙💗
