This little pup came into our shelter in heartbreaking condition. She was found lying in someone’s driveway, vomiting and suffering from severe bloody diarrhea and lethargic. The kind person who found him rushed him to us, knowing she desperately needed help.

After evaluation, she tested positive for the dreaded parvo virus, a deadly and highly contagious disease that requires intensive treatment and around the clock care to survive. Despite how sick she was, Tift Animal Rescue Inc. stepped up immediately to make sure she had a chance.

Parvo treatment is expensive, but turning our backs on animals like her is simply not an option. We are asking for your help to cover her medical expenses so we can continue saying “yes” to animals in critical condition when they have nowhere else to go

We decided to name her Fluttershy, inspired by the character from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. In the show, Fluttershy is known for her gentle spirit, her special connection and communication with animals, and her quiet but fierce protective nature toward those who need help. It felt like the perfect name for this tiny girl who came to us scared, fragile, and needing someone to fight for her.

Francisco is such a good boy. ❤️

He’s got the sweetest face, the cutest little ears, and is rocking that bandana like a pro.

Shelter life isn’t easy, and we’d really love for Francisco to find a home where he can relax and just be somebody’s bestest friend. He deserves that so much.

Maisy Mouse. 🩷

The sweetest little girl with the sweetest little name.

Maisy Mouse is the bestest girl. She has the kindest eyes, the gentlest heart, and enough love that it’s impossible not to fall for her. She is soft, snuggly, happy to be loved, and just wants to be close to her people.

Honestly, Maisy is just special. She makes bad days better.

Now all this sweet girl needs is a forever family to see how amazing she is. 🐾

Meet Granite. 🩶

This handsome brindle boy is equal parts goofy, sweet, and ready to be somebody’s best friend. Just look at that smile.

Granite is one of those dogs who makes shelter staff fall in love fast. He is friendly, happy, and loves attention from people. Whether he is sitting politely for treats or wagging his tail so hard his whole body moves, he is always trying his best to make friends.

And can we talk about that gorgeous brindle coat? Photos honestly do not do him justice.

Dogs like Granite do not belong in a shelter kennel. He belongs on a couch, riding shotgun for snack runs, and being reminded every day what a good boy he is.

Together We’re Making a Difference!

Tift Animal Rescue Inc. is proud to sponsor and help bring low-cost spay/neuter clinics to our community in partnership with the Fix the Future program by BISSELL Pet Foundation and Cathy Bissell.

Because of this partnership, and the incredible dedication of our volunteers, we are able to provide low cost spay/neuter for cats at $25. Each cat also receives their FVRCP vaccine, rabies vaccine, and microchip giving them a healthier, safer future while reducing the overpopulation issue we face in this community.

With two clinics a month, nearly 80 community cats are being spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped each month through this program. That makes a huge impact for our community. None of this would be possible without the generosity of BISSELL Pet Foundation, our volunteers, and the community that supports the work we do!

A little update on Lavender. 💜

The sweet girl who stole hearts from the beginning has been adopted and is now living her best life! She even has a kitty sibling. Her new name is Kismet, and we think it fits her perfectly.

Thank you to everyone who donated to Tift Animal Rescue Inc. for her care, shared her story, sent love, and cheered her on every step of the way. It takes so many people coming together to change a life, and because of you, that is exactly what happened for this girl.

A special thank you to Dr. Aldridge at Branch's Veterinary Clinic-Tifton for performing her amputation and taking the very best care of her.

Happy forever, sweet girl. 🐾
