We have drafts, draft crosses, & family safe trail horses on our farm in Somerset, PA. We would love for you to come out to ride & drive them with us!!

We are the sister page to Draft Horse Placement. We are a family friendly farm that has draft horses for you to come meet, ride, & drive. Whether it be the kids, your hubby, grandparents, or yourself, we have horses for everyone! We evalaute every horse to be sure they suit their rider or driver. Message us to come see our horses!

💕 Just an FYI post💕

We are the SAME barn & place as Draft Horse Placement. (See that fb page). This one was only created as a backup because scammers are causing issues with the Draft Horse Placement page, which results in certain bans or restrictions. We have worked so hard over the years to gain such a huge following that we'd hate to lose it. Feel free to follow, like, or share this page as well. I'll be sharing our horses on here more often!

💕FOUND HIS FOREVER FAMILY!💕

This guy may not have the best conformation, but we couldn't turn him away as hes one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet!💕

Timber is a 16yr old, 16.3hh Belgian/Clyde X gelding. He is barefoot & UTD on trim, wormer, shots, coggins, & his teeth were just floated. Timber has lived most of his life on an Amish farm. He doesn't have the typical standoff-ish attitude though. He loves all types of attention & is very sweet!! Timber is broke to ride & drive. Under saddle he is more whoa than go. Will w/t/c but the canter takes some encouraging. Hes the kind of guy who wants to enjoy the sights with you at a relaxed pace! Beginners would fit perfectly with him as hes laid back, easy to ride, handle, & fall in love with. He will go anywhere we ask! Water, bridges, woods, ditches, highways, through heavy traffic, into town, the drive thru, etc..! The kids love up on him & ride him around the farm. You can mount him from anything & he stands to bathe, bridle, tack, harness, hitch, groom, loads, & lifts his feet for the farrier. Timber has polite manners & gets along in a mixed herd. He drives single, double, & is broke to farm machinery. Anyone can drive him! Hes road/traffic safe. Will stand all day if you'd need him to. Timber may be a tad older, & not perfect to look at, but he's got a TON of love & a lot to offer a family! He'd love to hit the trails or pull a wagon full of kids around!🤎

Bear is a 14y/o, 17.3hh black Percheron gelding. He is broke to ride & drive. He is barefoot, & UTD on wormer, coggins, trim, & vaccines. Under saddle he is a more whoa than go, but will w/t/c. The canter takes a little pushing. He’s been ridden ba****ck, double, English, & western. Bear would suit all level of riders ranging from beginner to experienced. We have led small children around on him as well. Bear is friendly, good natured, & easy to handle. He’s great to take on the trails as he will go wherever we ask without much fussing & is pretty uncomplicated. He will cover all types of terrain & brings you home safely. He may look at things here & there but has never bolted, bucked, reared, or shown any dangerous behavior. We can ride him around the farm, or haul him to new locations. He stands to mount, bathe, groom, bridle, tack, harness, hitch, ties, loads, & stands for the farrier. Respects fencing & can be stalled or live out. Bear is broke to drive double. He does NOT drive single. He will do some work around the farm or pull a wagon with a teammate. Doesn’t mind being on the road or traffic. Bear is a sweet boy with a huge heart and a willing attitude. He’d be a great addition to any family!🖤

▪️POLICIES ▪️

* Horses are sold as is.
* NO refunds or returns.
* If we are aware of any health issues, they will be mentioned prior to purchase.
* Vet checks are welcome & encouraged (at the buyers' expense) but must be done within a week. (Message us to discuss it further in depth.)
* Deposits are NON refundable unless otherwise agreed upon.
* If paid in full up front, we would provide you with one week of board free.
* Board is $10 per day for pasture. Stall board depends on the size of the horse.
* A bill of sale MUST be signed prior to the horse leaving.
* We do allow you to meet & ride the horse prior to purchasing. We also provide numerous videos for those who want to purchase sight unseen.
* We will help to arrange hauling if needed.
* While we are happy to answer any & all questions you may have, please do not waste our time. Especially if you have no intentions of purchasing. If you need to discuss it with your family or significant other, please do so prior.
* These horses belong to us. They are evaluated by us. We do not take consignments.
* We are NOT a rescue.
*We recently moved our farm from Thurmont, Maryland, to Somerset, PA. We are NOT affiliated with any other barns in this area. I know it's a small area & may seem confusing.

🏠 IN HER FOREVER HOME!! 🏠

Cora is a 15y/o, 16.2hh Belgian mare. (May have some halflinger in her.) She is broke to ride & drive. Is barefoot currently, & UTD on wormer, trim, dental, coggins, & vaccines. Her looks are drool worthy & she’s got a ton of dapples!🤩 This gal turns heads everywhere we take her. Under saddle she is a little more whoa than go, but will w/t/c. Can be ridden ba****ck, double, English, or western. Since she is thick bodied she’s also ideal for larger riders. Cora would suit all level of riders ranging from beginner to experienced. She’s level headed & happy to go with the flow. On the trails she’s brave & willing to go anywhere. Steep terrain, ditches, woods, water, rocks, creeks, bridges, etc.. none of it phases her. Will ride out alone, with others, & leads or follows. Is not at all spooky or flighty. No buck, rear, or boot. She will hop over jumps, is fine with tarps, heavy machinery, flags, bikes, & sirens. (Watch the videos.) Cora is easy to handle with great manners. She’s friendly & enjoys attention. Will stand to mount, bathe, bridle, groom, tack, harness, hitch, ties, & loads. She’s good for the farrier. Cora drives single, double, & is broke to farm machinery. She’s quiet enough for beginner drivers. We’ve taken her into town & she doesn’t mind the roads, traffic, or sounds. This sweet girl has the looks, brains, heart, & demeanor to make a great family horse!🤎

🏠 IN HER FORVER HOME! 🏠

Winnie is a 15y/o, stout 17hh roan Belgian mare. She is sound, & UTD on wormer, vaccines, coggins, dental float, & trim. Is currently shod on the fronts. This gorgeous girl is broke to ride & drive! Under saddle she will w/t/c & is a good mix of whoa & go. (In our arena the canter takes a little pushing.) We’ve ridden her ba****ck, double, English, & western. Winnie is extremely quiet & easy going which makes her the perfect family horse! Anyone ranging from a timid beginner to more experienced can ride her. The kids really enjoy riding her around as she can take a joke & never gets worked up. Of course she loves the attention too! Winnie is our go to for trail riding. She will go anywhere we ask. Up steep terrain, in woods, mud, water, over logs, bridges, rocks, dogs following, past traffic & trucks, etc.. she never hesitates or complains. She will even take you through the drive thru for a post ride snack! Doesn’t matter to her if she rides out alone, in a group, or leads or follows. We can mount her from anything & she stands patiently to groom, bathe, bridle, tack, harness/hitch, ties & loads. Is out in a mixed herd & doesn’t act mare-ish. She is gentle with nice ground manners. Winnie drives single, double, & is broke to farm machinery. She is safe enough for beginners & those still learning. We take her into town & she doesn’t mind at all. Stops & stands. Is road & traffic safe. Winnie would make a great addition to any family! She’d also be ideal for a therapeutic program, some lessons, trails, pleasure driving, or breeding. She has a lot to offer & a ton of love to give.💕

🏠 IN A FOREVER HOME! 🏠

Storm is an 11y/o, 15hh Spotted Saddle Horse mare. She is gaited! Currently barefoot & UTD on trim, wormer, coggins, vaccines, & dental. Under saddle she has 3 smooth gaits! We’ve had beginners ranging from ages 10-70 on her! She’s very well mannered & very quiet. Storm is great to take out trail riding. Not much bothers her & she’s not spooky or flighty. No buck, rear, or bolt. Goes anywhere we ask whether it’s up steep terrain, over bridges, fallen logs, ditches, creeks, rocks, in woods, mud, brush, water, dogs following, past traffic, bicycles, etc.. She will lead or follow, & rides out alone or in a group. Storm will happily walk along with the non gaited horses or will pick up the pace. You can haul her off to new locations or even take her camping! This gorgeous girl has great ground manners & has a sweet, friendly personality. You can throw tarps on her, wave flags from her back, open gates, throw a rope from her, she’s fine with smoke bombs, sparklers, will check fences, & even chases cows around. You can mount her from the ground, a tree stump or a mounting block. She stands to bathe, groom, bridle, tack, lifts her feet, ties, leads, loads, & hauls. Is currently out to pasture in a mixed herd of all sizes. Storm is not only gorgeous but is safe enough for just about any rider. You can hit the trails with her, take her camping, maybe do some parades, & so much more! She would love to meet you!

🤩 Check this guy out!! 🤩

Smokey is a 13y/o, 15.3hh branded quarter horse/Percheron cross gelding. Is sound, barefoot, & UTD on trim, wormer, coggins, vaccines, & dental. He came off a ranch out west & is handy broke! A beginner rider with a little experience & up would suit him best. He has a 1 hand neck rein, moves off leg pressure, slow lopes, & has a nice stop. Perfect balance of whoa & go. Will walk along or lope around for hours. We were told he came off a reservation where he was used for chasing cattle, working horses, checking fences, etc.. He’s definitely more of a working type horse & not a cuddly pet for your child who's never been on a horse before. Smokey is great to take out on the trails. Would be fine for an advanced beginner! Is uncomplicated & willing to do anything! He will go wherever we ask whether it’s up/down rough terrain, over bridges, creeks, logs, rocks, ditches, in woods, brush, water, past traffic, dogs following, etc.. He will go out alone, in a group, & will lead or follow. He seems to enjoy chasing cattle! You can swing/throw a rope off his back. Gets along great in our mixed herd of all sizes. Stands to bathe, groom, tack up, bridle, ties, leads, loads, hauls, & is good with sprays. He does stand to mount but will take a step away sometimes. He has a few vices such as he tosses his head, doesn’t lift his feet too easily, & wasn’t a fan of needles. (Who can blame him?) Smokey enjoys having a job. Just being a pampered pasture pet probably isn’t his ideal life. He’s not mean or hard to handle at all, but isn’t super lovey either. Smokey would love to be a trail horse or even back on another ranch but would be suited for many other things as well. Hes got all the buttons for someone to really have fun with!! He’s hardy & will be perfect for someone wanting a guy with his experience & resume.

🏠IN HIS FOREVER HOME!🏠

Excited to share our newest draft with y’all!

Oliver is a 13y/o, 17.2hh Belgian gelding. Is sound, barefoot, & UTD on trim, wormer, coggins, vaccines, & dental. He’s a big boy which makes him ideal for all size riders! We have beginners to experienced riders on him. If you know the basics, how to steer, kick, stop, etc.. then you’d have no trouble with him! He’s not a dead head but at the same time he’s laid back and pretty quiet. Under saddle he will w/t/c but is a tad more on the whoa side. Can be ridden ba****ck in a halter, double, western, or English. While out on the trails he never complains & will go anywhere we ask him to. Over bridges, rocks, creeks, ditches, in woods, brush, mud, goes swimming, past traffic, on the main roads, dogs following, etc.. We have hopped him over a jump, opened gates, waved flags, he’s fine with tarps, the leaf blower, smoke bombs, & even sparklers! (Check out his videos!) We ride him around the farm & also haul off to new locations. Is not barn or buddy sour. Falls anywhere in the hack line. Stands to mount, bathe, groom, tack/harness, hitch, bridle, clip, ties, leads, loads, & gets along in our mixed herd of many sizes. Is currently out to pasture. He can be trimmed without stocks but doesn’t lift them super easy like your QH does. Oliver is friendly & enjoys human interaction. He was prior Amish but wasn’t worked to death or in poor shape. He drives single, double, & is broke to farm machinery. Anyone can hook or drive him. Is road/traffic/town safe. Oliver has so much potential & a lot to offer! He could go in any direction with his brains & willing attitude. He’d love to meet you!
