We fondly remember Liz Fite, a special friend to our program. Liz was a vibrant, kind, and caring retired teacher. She loved animals. When faced with a terminal cancer diagnosis she contacted us to donate her beloved horse Rusty to our program. She felt he had promise as a therapy horse. Liz wanted to make sure Rusty would be cared for, loved and appreciated when she no longer could. Rusty is now a treasured member of our therapy herd. He loves people and seems to enjoy his job. Rusty is a Tennessee Walker so his special smooth gait is just what some of our riders need to excel.

Recently Liz’s friends Bridgette and Sandy visited the farm to present us with one last blessing from Liz. Rest assured, Rusty will be cared for and loved by our students and his TRP family until he joins Liz again.

We enjoyed visiting Country Meadows with out two travelers last week. Not sure who has the most fun.

Hay there. We are fortunate that we are able to grow our own hay here on the farm. These hardy volunteers are our hay crew who unloaded and stacked it in the 100 degree heat to store it in barn for the Winter. That is what farm families do.
