No matter how exhausting my day has been, the moment I walk through the door and see my dog spinning with excitement, something inside me begins to heal. Their joy makes every burden feel lighter and reminds me that coming home truly matters.

My dog does not care about my mistakes, mood, productivity, or whether the day went perfectly. They are simply grateful that I returned. Being welcomed with such pure, unconditional happiness is one of life’s greatest privileges. In a complicated world, their love remains simple, honest, and healing every single day, and I never take it for granted.

What people think dog walkers do:
🌳 A peaceful stroll through the forest with a few well behaved dogs.🤔
What actually happens:
🐾 One dog finds a dead thing.
🐾 One dog rolls in fox poo.
🐾 One dog disappears chasing a squirrel.
🐾 Two dogs start arguing over the same stick.
🐾 Someone does a poo right next to nettles.
🐾 And somehow you’re tangled in 5 leads wondering how your life ended up like this.
Meanwhile you’re shouting
“COME BACK!”
“LEAVE IT!”
“DON’T EAT THAT"
“NOOOO NOT THE FOX POO!”
And yet… it’s still the best job in the world. 🐶
