It turns out our mustang Elvis was not always known as Elvis. In his herd, Elvis was known as Kobuck, son of Montana (Sire) and Santa Fe (Dam). Born in 2022, he was gathered in 2024
I don't know, should we change his name back to his original?

Well we said goodbye to Charlie Brown.

Heading home with an empty trailer is never easy. After much discussion with our wonderful Veterinarians, we decided it was the best decision for his comfort.

Even though the outcome was sad, we do not regret for a moment having Charlie in our lives! We are so happy we could give him an amazing 8 months with Blossom Peak Ranch and show him just how kind people can be.

It is always hard to make and end of life decision. Right now we are fighting ourselves determining when should we consider euthanasia for Charlie? We have been treating his arthritis and weight problems. Despite being only 8 years old, he has severe ringbone.
After a period of remarkable improvement, he was found lying down and struggled to stand without leaning on the fence. We thought it was time to let him go. However, following pain medication, he regained his normal behavior, eating and moving around happily.
Should we prioritize his comfort or continue treatment because of his lively personality? He's not giving up, but we might have to decide for him.
