Know what you’re buying. This picture has store beef(left), and farm beef(right). There is an obvious visible difference between the two! But the differences don’t stop there!

1. You may notice in the picture the color difference. The store bought is pumped full of additives and water. There isn’t a guarantee of where that beef came from either. Yes, it may have USDA label on it but as long as that animal was packaged in the US, it can be called a Product of the USA. The meat in the package is not from one single cow, rather scraps from multiple cows. It could have came from Argentina, Canada, or Brazil.

2. The beef on the right is darker and is farm raised beef. It is filled with more nutrients & flavor. The ground is also from one cow and not just scraps from multiple cows.

3. Buying your beef from a local Farmer/Rancher you are helping to buy a little girl dance shoes or a little boy baseball gear. Buying from the store just lines the pockets of the already wealthy meat packers. Let’s help each other. We help you eat healthy, you help us provide for our families.

And dinner is , yes lamb chops. Named lambs get to live her til they are old. And in the house means names.

When the weather doesn’t cooperate with lambing and you can’t leave them to die. They become house sheep in diapers.

And for inquiring minds, I feed whole cows milk because I don’t have to worry about over feeding they won’t get bloat from cows milk or goats milk. Formula must be made as directed and fed exactly as said or you can loose lambs to bloat.

Since the Stone Age, wool has been appreciated as one of the most effective forms of all-weather protection, and science is yet to produce a man-made fibre which matches its unique properties.

For thousands of years, sheep have been able to adapt to even the harshest of environments, as their wool protects them through hot, cold, damp and dry seasons. Wool has a large capacity to absorb moisture vapour (up to 30 per cent of its own weight) making it extremely breathable, and comfortable in extremes and changes of temperature.

Shout out to the farmers, who work 24/7 all year round even in the extremes of weather to nurture and protect their animals.
