We founded our group in honor of a dear little dachshund named Sophia Grace. Sophia was a sweet little 12-year old dachshund who was rescued from a situation where she spent all her life without receiving any medical care. When she came into rescue she was severely malnourished, sickly and had to have nearly all her teeth pulled. Through the "Grace" of so many selfless contributors we were able to

get her the medical care that she so badly needed, and had been denied all her 12 years on earth. Sophia Grace lived out her final years in her forever home in Michigan where she thrived and grew stronger each day. It is in her honor that we founded our organization, and we will honor her with every dachshund we are able to help now and for many years to come!

🐾 Foster Fun with Opie & Jax! 🐾

These two foster pups had quite the eventful weekend! Their trip to the Delaware Music Festival was cut short because this guy (looking at you, Opie 🫣) decided a lovely lady’s leg was the *perfect* tree to mark. 🌳💦 (In his defense, it *was* grassy, and she *did* have excellent posture.)

Thankfully, trivia night was a *much* better scene—no “watering” required! These two goofballs charmed everyone with their antics and had the best time soaking up attention (and maybe a few treats). 🎉

Now, they’re ready to trade their foster titles for forever homes! Could these lovable troublemakers be your next adventure buddy? 💖

🐾 Foster Update: Post-Neuter Nap Time! 🐾

This sweet boy just got neutered yesterday and is taking his recovery *very* seriously—aka lots of cuddles and snoozing. 🥱💤

Despite the cone of shame (or as we like to call it, his "satellite dish"), he’s being such a champ! 🛡️❤️ Now he just needs a little R&R before he’s ready for his forever home. 🏡

This goofy, adventurous pup goes everywhere with his mom, turning every day into a fun-filled adventure. From snuggles to zoomies, Indy’s loyalty and antics have brought endless joy to his forever home.

💔 Abandoned with a Leash Still On… But We Won’t Give Up On Her!

Meet Lady Fig – a fragile 12-year-old Chihuahua found wandering Baltimore streets, her leash dragging behind her like a cruel joke. When the shelter called her "owner," they hung up on her. 😰 Now she’s with us, but her suffering isn’t over.

🐾 Happy Tails Alert! 🐾

We’re overjoyed to share that Dudley, Katie, Petunia, Pepper, Bosco, and Bixby have all found their forever homes! 🎉

Each of these pups has overcome challenges, and we’re so grateful to their adopters for opening their hearts. Here’s a little about their journeys:

🐶 Dudley (7-year-old Yorkie) – Found roaming the streets at night, this sweet senior now has a safe, loving home.

🐶 Katie (8-year-old Yorkie) – Her big personality was too much for her elderly owners, but her new family adores her spunky "Yorkie-tude"!

🐶 Petunia (12-year-old Chihuahua) – Found as a stray in distress, unable to stand or bark… but by morning, she was ready to charm everyone! Now she’s living her golden years in comfort.

🐶 Pepper (3-year-old Terrier Mix) – Saved just in time from euthanasia, this little love almost spent **6 months in rescue** before finding the perfect family who sees how amazing he truly is.

🐶 Bosco (formerly Ranger, 5-year-old Long haired dachshund) – Rescued from a Georgia kill shelter thanks to a desperate plea, this lucky boy is now home for good.

🐶 Bixby (formerly Casper, 7mo Norfolk Terrier/JRT Mix) – Dumped on the side of the road in PA, but now he’s starting a bright new chapter!
