Creating Impact Every Day.🐾
Adopt. Foster. Donate. Volunteer. We depend on memberships, donations, grants, and fundraising efforts.
(274)

We are a private, non-profit humane society serving the Thomasville community and Southwest Georgia as a "limited admission" shelter, focusing on animals in need of owner surrender. We adopt animals, provide medical care for newly adopted pets, and provide low cost sterilization services with the "Wellness Waggin," our mobile veterinary bus. Like all humane societies and SPCAs, we are independent and are not affiliated with, nor do we receive regular funding from, any national animal welfare organizations or advocacy groups. Your interest in the welfare of the lost, homeless, abused, and abandoned pets in our community is greatly appreciated and vital to our continued success. Only financial support received locally will ensure our future and allow us to continue to care for the 4,000 animals per year that come through our doors. Your continued support means the world to us! We work hard to be the area’s leading advocate for animal welfare. Please help us continue to help them with your financial support!

🚨 HAPPY TAILS ALERT! 🚨

Mya has been living her best life since being adopted in May! 🐾💙

Her family recently sent us an update, and it sounds like this sweet girl had a summer to remember!

From swimming and taking long walks to cruising around in the golf cart and going for car rides, Mya has been making the most of every day. She's also made herself right at home with her feline sibling, gets along great with other dogs, and has officially mastered potty training! 👏

But our favorite part of the update? Her family shared that Mya has brought them so much joy. ❤️

It's easy to celebrate the day an animal gets adopted, but getting to see the life they build afterward is something truly special. Every adventure, new friendship, and ordinary day spent with a loving family is exactly what we hope for when an animal leaves our care.

Thank you to Mya's family for giving her such a wonderful home and sharing a little glimpse of her life with us!

Have a Happy Tail of your own to share? Send your favorite photos and an update to [email protected]. We LOVE seeing what our former residents are up to!

Help us create more happy endings like Mya's by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating at thomasvillehumane.org. 💙

UPDATE: LOKI WAS ADOPTED!💙

One blue eye. One golden eye. Both are looking for the same thing: a family. 💙🤎

Meet Loki, a handsome Husky who is approximately 2 years and 7 months old!

We are still getting to know Loki, so we cannot tell you all of his favorite things or funny little quirks just yet! Those may be special discoveries for the person who chooses him. What we do know is that Loki is a sweet boy who is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to begin his next chapter.

Meet the Team Monday! 💙🐾

This week, we're giving you a glimpse into another VERY important part of the Thomasville Humane team… the people who show up!

Throughout the year, we host major fundraising events like Rally for Rovers, Tails & Trails, Clays for Strays, and Collections that bring our community together for a good time and an even greater cause!

As an independent nonprofit, we depend on the support of our community. These events help us raise the money needed to care for our animals, save more lives, and continue Creating Impact Every Day. 💙

Every ticket purchased, team registered, and person who participates makes a difference. What may seem like a fun day out with friends or family means so much more to the animals in our care.

So today, we're celebrating YOU! Thank you for attending, spreading the word, and continuing to show up for our animals. We couldn't do it without you! 💙🐾

Learn more about Thomasville Humane and our upcoming events, including Collections on November 7, at thomasvillehumane.org!

10/23/2026

Thomasville Humane will be closed to the public tomorrow, Saturday, October 24, as we proudly serve as a host site for Hands On Thomas County Day! 🐾💙

We're excited to welcome volunteers from Brookwood School for a morning of service, teamwork, and making a difference for the animals in our care!

We will resume normal business hours on Sunday, October 25, from 1–6 PM.

In the meantime, you can view our adoptable dogs and cats at thomasvillehumane.org/adopt!

Thank you for your understanding and support!
