We’re excited to welcome two new Veterinary Assistants to our clinic family! Their passion for animal care and positive energy are already making a great impact—read more about them below!
Meet Michael:
Michael is a Milwaukee native who completed the veterinary assistants program this year at Milwaukee Career College and is currently enrolled in the vet tech curriculum beginning this September. He is new to the clinic setting, but his love of caring for animals is not. Throughout his life, he's owned a wide variety of critters, from rats and rabbits to bearded dragons, but cats and dogs are his favorite. He has a soft spot for working with aggressive and fearful animals that may require rehabilitation. Once done with the tech program, he plans to focus his personal studies on animal psychology to better understand the mysterious ways they communicate to us and the daily signs and behaviors.
Today, he holds a bachelor's degree in Piano Performance and works as the Accompanist Administrator at Milwaukee Ballet School and Academy, providing accompaniment for the daily classes. He is also the organist and music director for The Unity Chapel at the Milwaukee VA hospital. He considers the opportunity to have his first veterinary assistant's position be with such a top-notch staff to be a true privilege and hopes to aid in maintaining the stellar reputation of the clinic.
Meet Chloe:
Chloe is a Veterinary Assistant at the beginning of her career, currently studying Animal & Veterinary Biosciences at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Chloe has worked with a variety of animals, from beloved household pets like cats, dogs, and guinea pigs to more exotic species like giraffes. At home, Chloe is kept on her toes by her two cats, Emmett and Lincoln. Chloe's goal is to keep learning, support compassionate care, and make vet visits a little easier for both animals and their humans.
