If you need a good laugh!
This is LaDonna. In her defense, she would have been more forthcoming had the young newbie officer given her a chance to explain. He saw her Suburban speeding down the county road. It wasn’t even 8 a.m. when he radioed dispatch. He couldn’t see into her back windows through the thick coat of dirt road, and he rested his hand on his weapon as he approached the vehicle. She was trying to conceal a smile and explain her morning thus far when he asked exactly what it was she found so entertaining about reckless driving. It went downhill from there. There were radio conversations and while he couldn’t see anyone else in the vehicle, he felt certain he had seen a figure in the very back. He was sure he heard a thump. There was no telling what she might be hiding. He had seen all of the Chicago PD episodes and he knew it was always the ones you didn’t suspect. He marched her to the back of her vehicle about the time the sheriff pulled up. The sheriff had known her since she was a kid and was about to ask why the young buck had her out of the vehicle. He asked her curtly to open the back door and when she did, he drew his weapon before the sheriff could stop what was about to unfold. Two wet baby calves, warm now after riding under the car heater to school drop off and halfway back home, lurched toward him with a bawl. One wobbled and tipped into his chest, smearing him with slime and black tar calf p**p and violating his shades with a wet tongue. The old Sheriff considered tossing the young buck a rag but decided against it, told LaDonna she was free to go, and told her to tell her family hello. And that was the last time the newbie pulled her over during calving season.
