Prepare yourselves!!! Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving lunch feast for ALL the fur-kids!! We’re calling it Pawsgiving Feast 2024!! Staff and volunteers are preparing a huge pet SAFE & pet friendly menu to serve our current 4-legged residents. Dogs will be served baked turkey and chicken breast, mashed sweet potatoes, steamed green beans, broccoli & mixed veggies. For dessert they will have pet-safe pumpkin pie and fruit bowls. Cats will be served a Tuna casserole with shrimp. The table will be beautifully decorated and we will be serving each pet on Thanksgiving plates. We want every pet to know just how special they are, so we’re not holding back on anything!! We will be filming LIVE about noon, so our followers can enjoy and share in the festivities.

It’s going to be fun, so tune in if you can!!

We're excited to invite you to our special dog adoption event at the Chick-fil-A by 121 this Saturday, September 7th, from 9-11am! Come meet some of our adorable dogs who are looking for their forever homes. 🏡❤️

We will be bringing a few of our furry friends who can't wait to meet you! Stay tuned to our page on Friday evening for a sneak peek at the dogs who will be joining us. 🐶

Adoption fees are $95, which includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, microchip, and the first round of vaccinations. This is a fantastic opportunity to add a loving member to your family while enjoying a morning at Chick-fil-A!

Please remember to express gratitude to a shelter staff member tomorrow. Show them kindness, grace, and compassion. Tomorrow, they will have to end the lives of innocent dogs and cats to accommodate the numerous strays that irresponsible owners failed to properly secure during the firework displays. This task will bring them tremendous sorrow and mental anguish. Many will question their ability to continue in this role. Tomorrow, those irresponsible owners will cause a shelter worker to end the life of an innocent dog or cat while providing comfort to the animal. July 5th is the busiest day for shelters nationwide, with the highest euthanasia rate of the year. Don't let your pet become a statistic. Take better care of them. Ensure their safety and security during fireworks by securing fences and remaining at home to care for them.

NOTE: We need to note that our shelter in TC has no intention of euthanizing any animals!! But then again, we don’t operate like most municipal shelters. The facts are based on a national average, not OUR shelter!!

🎆🐾 Happy Fourth of July from The Colony Animal Services! 🐾🎆

In honor of the holiday, we will be closed on Thursday, July 4th. As you celebrate, please remember to keep your pets safe during the festivities.

Here are some tips to ensure your furry friends have a safe and calm holiday:

Secure Fences and Gates: Double-check that all fences and gates are secure to prevent any escapes.
Update Microchip Information: Ensure your pet's microchip information is up to date.
Recent Photos: Have a recent photo of your pet handy in case they manage to get out.
Calming Measures: Provide your pet with calming needs if they have issues with fireworks. This could include anxiety vests, calming treats, or a quiet space indoors.
Let's keep our pets safe and enjoy a wonderful Independence Day! 🎇🐶🐱

Fireworks are coming 💥 Secure your fences, update microchips and collars, have a current photo of your pets and make accommodations ahead of time. They would do the same for you if they could! 🐶♥️🐱
