On June 7, 2024, Nila's owner was in a car accident on the Cross Bronx Expressway which resulted in Nila, a 10 month old female German Shepard lab mix, running out of fear. The crash site was near 1401 WHITE PLAINS ROAD, BRONX NY 10462 and she has been spotted in the surrounding area.
