We are committed to providing quality puppies for our clients. Karen’s Doodle Parlor achieves this by diligently acquiring genetically tested and sound conformation parents. We strive to produce puppies with the very best temperaments and personalities. Everyone of our puppies come with a two-year health guarantee, Genetically cleared by parents documentation, and have been vet-checked with age ap
propriate vaccinations documentation. Finding a breeder that you feel a connection with is crucial. "no regrets, BEST DECISION EVER"
vs. "wish we would have NEVER done this". As a breeder, I would love to give my families 'THE PERFECT PUPPY". But there is no such thing as a perfect anything. However, I will do everything to provide families with the very best puppy possible. As you move through our site you will see all the precautions we have taken with testing and training. If adoptive families have the mindset that these little Puppies are babies, plain and simple, you will be half-way to the enjoyable experience you have envisioned with your new furry family member. This very simple concept really gives you perspective when you find yourself asking (and you will), "why is he/she doing this or that?". My puppies will look to you for guidance and love. We have to start with the basics. For instance, simple communication, they are unable to tell you verbally that they need to potty, are bored, and think that your favorite hairbrush is a teething toy. Likewise, at first, you do not understand their "non-verbal" communications. All puppies try to communicate, it is our job to work with them so they start to learn verbal commands and we understand their special way of expressing themselves. Time, it takes time. They are not perfect, however, each and everyone of them desire to please you. With any relationship, the beginning is exciting, maybe even perfect. And then, bumps in the road arise. That's guaranteed. As long as families, go into this process with an open mind and heart, you will enjoy the ride. What a lot of people don’t understand is that this magical puppy is a relative now. 40 even 20 years ago the standard age to get a puppy was 6 weeks. Pups are weaned, moms are done with them, and litter mates start getting into terrible aggressive fights beyond 6 weeks! The 8 week rule was started to control when licensed breeders could sell pups for wholesale to brokers and pet shops. Every state has its own laws and usually deals with this type of breeder not hobby breeders or backyard breeders. If I’m getting a pup I want it at 6 weeks as it’s easier to train, I’ve done the training, and my existing pack helps train it to fit in with our lifestyle. There is no valid blanket reason why it needs to stay with mom after 6 weeks. Now there might be a reason based on individual situations to keep after 6 weeks, but most 6 week old pups will be fine going to there new homes.
