UPDATE: the $100 was not fake. I had it checked and it is good. However it was an old one 1996 and that's why none of the machines would take it even the bank machine would not take it. So why is this? If it's a real bill and has the strip in it why will the machines including the bank not accept it.

Well someone has passed me a fake $100 bill. This is the second time this has happened to me so I am going to be getting one of those pens that checks for fake bills. I don't want to offend any of my customers but I have to protect myself. So if anyone pays me with a $100 bill $50 bill I will be checking them. It very possible that whoever gave it to had no clue so I'm not blaming anyone but I will take extra precaution from this point forward.
