šŸ“¢ A Quick PSA to Our Amazing Clients!

Over the last couple of months, we've been working behind the scenes on a major improvement to the way we handle online prescriptions.

Historically, we accepted prescription requests from several different online pharmacies and platforms, including Covetrus, Vets First Choice, Chewy, 1-800-PetMeds, and others. While we always did our best to stay on top of every request, they came to us through phone calls, emails, faxes, and multiple online portalsā€”sometimes even on Saturdays when we're closed.

With requests coming from so many different directions, things could occasionally fall through the cracks. Different vendors also charged different prices, creating confusion for both our clients and our staff as they tried to manage multiple systems.

We're excited to announce that we've officially transitioned to one online pharmacy platform: Vetcove! šŸŽ‰

Many of you have already received an automated welcome email introducing the new portal. The transition has been a big undertaking, but we're happy to say we're now fully live!

Here's what this means for you:

āœ… One convenient place for all online prescription requests
āœ… Direct messaging with our team through the portal for faster communication
āœ… Competitive pricing with automatic price matching, so you can feel confident you're getting a great deal
āœ… A simpler, more reliable process for everyone

Some of you have already used the messaging feature, and we've found it to be much faster and easier than trying to reach us by phoneā€”especially considering our team handles over 1,200 phone calls every single day (yes, not even a joke!).

Because of this transition, we will no longer be accepting prescription requests from alternate online pharmacies. If you previously had prescriptions or autoship orders through another provider, many of those accounts have already been transferred into our new system. If yours hasn't yet, don't worry! We're actively working through our lists and will be reaching out to make sure your medications continue without interruption.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this transition. Our goal is to spend less time managing multiple prescription platforms and more time doing what matters mostā€”providing exceptional care for you and your pets. ā¤ļøšŸ¾

If youā€™ve been around the hospital lately, youā€™ve probably already heard that Josieā€™s birthday was coming upā€¦ because sheā€™s been making sure absolutely nobody forgot for the last two weeks! šŸ˜†

Today is the big day, and we couldnā€™t let it pass without giving her the celebration sheā€™s been campaigning for. Josie was blessed with her daughter on her 21st birthday, which makes this day extra special to herā€”and she wanted to make SURE everyone knew it!

Josie has been part of the veterinary field since she was just 18 years old and joined our team in 2022. She brings dedication, hard work, and plenty of personality to our hospital every day.

Update- we believe our issues have been resolved! Our phones are ringing again and our system seems back to normal. So sorry for the inconvenience!

Weā€™re currently experiencing technical issues with our phone and internet service. A technician is on the way to assist us. While weā€™re able to answer calls, we cannot hear the caller at this time. We appreciate your patience as we work through this issue and will provide updates as soon as possible.

For the safety of our staff, we will be closing early today at 4:00 PM to ensure everyone can get home before the overnight freeze sets in.

We truly appreciate those who were able to adjust their appointment times, and weā€™re grateful for the time we were able to be open today to care for pets who needed us.

We plan to resume normal hours tomorrow as temperatures rise, but please continue to use caution when traveling. As much as we love seeing you and your pets, thereā€™s no need to take unnecessary risks if you can avoid it. Stay safe!

Weā€™re back with another update. Our team made attempts to get in today but unfortunately most were unable to make it safely. We do have a small but mighty few who were able to reach the clinic to care for our hospitalized patients.

Our goal is to open tomorrow at 10:00 AM. Weā€™re going to remain optimistic that by around noon the majority of the hazardous spots will have melted, aside from a few isolated slick spots.

As always, if anything changes, please keep an eye out for another update from us!

Due to inclement weather, we have made the decision to remain closed today. Several of our team members attempted to travel in this morning, but conditions were just not safe.

If you had a scheduled appointment today, please text us at 903-838-9572 and we will get you rescheduled as soon as possible.

Weather Update šŸŒØļø
Hey everyone! With the inclement weather this weekend, we wanted to keep you in the loop. Weā€™re planning to do our absolute best to be there in the morning and open as normally as possible to care for our patients. Weā€™ve done our best to stay open during past winter weather, and thatā€™s still our goal.

That said, the ice has continued to worsen, and while weā€™d love to be fully open, the safety of our staff is our top priorityā€”especially since some team members travel quite a distance. Weā€™ll be sure to share updates here as conditions change.
