Hello, my name is Donna Yeldell of Steppin'wolf Irish Wolfhounds. My sister, Jonette Jones, bought her first IW in 1887 from the Lochbay line of Joke Tucker-van Den Berg. She finished this boy's AKC Championship and was hooked on the breed, and showing dogs, until the day she died in 2010. In 1988 Jonette purchased a beautiful girl from Anne Spalding of Kellcastle IWs, and then another boy from Lo
chbay in 1990. In 1992 the first Steppin'wolf litter was born in Monroe, LA. I began showing Afghan Hounds in 1982, but I've shown many breeds over the years before I joined Jonette with the wolfhounds. Today the heart of Steppin'wolf Irish Wolfhounds lives on with our family in Redwater, TX (we lived in Hope, AR from 2000-2013). We also have friends (Amber Holmes & the Emorys) who have been co-breeding and helping to continue our lines for the last 10 years. Our goal in breeding and showing Irish Wolfhounds is to continue to produce healthy, loving dogs who are closely bred to the AKC Standard.
