SOLD!! 😃

One dozen Ermine Ameraucana eggs heading to an incubator. I love these fluffy cheeked Ermine babies!! I will be opening a few more orders for our Ermine hatching eggs. If you would like to place a preorder please message our page. 😊🐣

***( At this time i am only offering Ermine, EE flock covered by a silverudd roo or a EE flock covered by a BCM roo for hatching eggs. I have much to do with my pens for my silverudd pen before i open them up again. Our broody LF Cochins are taking a break hatching babies currently.)

Not gonna lie… sometimes I daydream about moving to Tennessee and building a little farm near the Smokies 🐓🌿✨🐻

Like I’ll just be out there living my best Snow White life…
barefoot around the farm and boots in the forest, surrounded by flowers, animals, and pure peace 🐐🦋🌸

meanwhile my two little dwarfs running around causing chaos all day long 😂
and John fully committed to his mountain man era somewhere in the woods 🪵

BUT don’t worry…
we’re still close enough to Pigeon Forge and Knoxville for Target runs, shopping days, and a little reality check 🛍️🤍

so basically… woodland princess by day, shopping and sunsets near the fire place by night✨🔥

honestly it might happen one day… but for now I’ll just keep dreaming 🌄💭

Tell me you wouldn’t do the same if you have the opportunity. 😅

Chatgpt did good bringing my fairytale farm to life. 🤣

Finally happening… my Silverudd’s Blues are happily laying🩵💚

I’ve been waiting for this and getting a beautiful mix of blue and green eggs already, with a few speckles here and there. This is just today’s collection…

I’ll be checking fertility before offering any hatching eggs, but once everything looks good I’ll be opening them up.

Super excited to see what my younger birds add this Fall with speckled genes🤞

Small flock, limited availability when released. 🥰

It’s been a really hard week here on the farm.

Between us feeling under the weather and multiple back-and-forth trips to the vet, we’ve been holding onto hope as tightly as we could… but yesterday we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our sweet bottle baby, Rudy, down.

Rudy was so incredibly special to us. From the moment he came into our lives, he was full of sweetness, trust, and personality. He wasn’t just a goat—he was our baby. He loved his bottles, his snuggles, and being close to us, and we loved him right back with everything we had.

Unfortunately, Rudy developed severe bronchopneumonia, and it progressed beyond what could be treated. Once it spread outside of his lung cavity, there was just no way to save him. We did everything we could, and making that call was one of the hardest things we’ve had to do.

Our hearts are heavy, and there have been a lot of tears. The house feels a little quieter without him.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in on us this week—we appreciate you more than you know. Please keep our farm and our hearts in your thoughts as we heal from this loss.

Rest easy, sweet Rudy 🤍 You were so deeply loved.

People always ask me what my Marsummers are and what the eggs look like 🤎

Honestly… they’re never exactly the same — and that’s part of the magic. Some days I’ll get darker eggs than this maybe a lighter shade, sometimes heavier speckling, and every now and then a soft pink bloom shows up and steals the show ✨

But today… this carton gave me these gorgeous chocolate eggs with the prettiest tiny speckles and just a hint of bloom 😍

That’s what I love about my Marans ✕ Welsummer crosses — you get that rich, deep color from the Marans paired with the warm tones and speckling from the Welsummer. Every egg feels a little unique, like its own work of art.

And the birds themselves? Hardy, reliable layers, and some of the easiest hatches I’ve worked with 🐣

Pictured here are only my first generation layers. I can’t wait to see the next two generations as we darken and cross back for more speckles. If you have been curious about Marsummers… this is your sign 🤎

Pictured is one of my hens and a growing pullet.

This is our second trip back at the vet this week. We had to get a steroid shot for Rudy again hoping he feels better soon. We will try to bottle feed him again once we get home. Our girls Chloe and Georgia came in for rabies shots and flea pills. Next stop the feed store… 🙂
