The weather is warming up and we are not complaining! However, with warm weather coming in, you may be wondering if your pet is getting too hot. We would like to discuss double coated breeds , such as huskies, German shepherds , and labs . You may see this thick coat and think to yourself “my dog is hot, he needs a haircut!” This thick coat serves a purpose. The undercoat is a second layer of fur that lies beneath the topcoat, it's what helps regulate your pets body temperature in both hot and cold weather. This coat helps keep your dog cool in the summer and warm in the winter . Using clippers on double coated breeds can permanently alter this function of the coat . We are pleased to introduce the newest addition to our exceptional team. It is our pleasure to welcome Samantha Nasser.

Samantha has accumulated over 7 years of experience in the pet industry, during which she has assisted with animal rescues and provided foster care. She shares her residence with her two canine companions, Prim and Felix, a Great Dane and a Shepsky. In her leisure time, Samantha enjoys socializing with friends and family, engaging in outdoor activities, and maintaining her saltwater fish tank. We believe that Miss Nasser is a perfect fit for our Dapper Dog family and we are honored to have her on board!
