Tonight we say goodbye to longtime Forever Young resident Magic. Magic was in his 30s and suffered from end stage heart failure. Although we knew this day was coming, it doesn’t make it any easier. Magic’s favorite little boy was with him till the end ❤️ Rest easy sweet Magic

Welcome Willie!
Willie is a 20+ year old mule, who has spent his life guiding hunters at a backcountry ranch. He is now enjoying retirement at Forever Young

Yes,we are still here and actively rescuing.
Being a mom to young children, working full time and taking care of the animals does not leave a lot of time for Facebook updates. I will do better with updates and pictures because we have some really wonderful horses and mules with us right now!
We currently have 5 animals in the rescue, 2 mules and 3 horses (2 are past FY rescues who have returned)

Jerry- 35+ year old draft mule.
Willie- 23+ year old mule
Magic- 27 year old paint gelding
Swiper (I know you all remember Swiper)- Swiper is now in his mid/late 20’s
Rosie- 20 year old POA

All the horses are permanent residents of FY. They have worked hard their whole lives and are now enjoying retirement.

Jerry is a very large draft mule who is severely underweight. He is 25++ years old and a gentle giant. Jerry worked for many years guiding hunters throughout the mountains, however has struggled to keep weight on this fall despite his owners best efforts. Jerry will spend his retirement years at Forever Young where he will receive all the mash and love a giant mule needs.
