We raise Turkish Shepherd Dogs on our homestead in Southern Oregon. They are also exceptional family guardians.

Our dogs are raised with sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks and geese.

The best trio I could ever hope for! They all went into heat together, and wouldn’t you know it— they aren’t all trying to kill each other, they aren’t trying to get out and wander, they are still doing great with the livestock. And our boys, ALL of whom are INTACT except for Benno, have not tried to get to them, either. Now keep in mind, a male dog can smell a female in heat from THREE MILES AWAY. 🤯 so I guess I am bragging on my whole pack 🥰🥰 love these doggos!

Better late than never 🫣🙃
Rhea turned 1 a couple days ago, August 15. She’s so good! Except at feeding time, then she’s kind of a nut 😜 but hey there’s no such thing as a perfect dog and she’s pretty darn great with all our livestock so we can deal with her quirks. Can’t wait to see how this girl matures over the next year. She absolutely ROCKED her first lambing season this summer!

Looking for a pet home for my girl Barbie. She’s from my first litter born 10/24/24. She is 75% Boz 25% Anatolian. She’s on the smaller side and she’s not spayed. She is very sweet and wants to be with her people all the time. I originally sold her to a pet home where she was great with the other small dogs and cats. She’s very smart and has good instincts (for example came to get the owner when a hawk was sitting above one of the cats hiding) but she is too people oriented to be a full time LGD imho. She is housebroken, kennel trained, leash trained, good in the car and on outings. Shes a middle of the pack temperament and is getting along well with all my dogs. Her first owner rehomed her without my knowledge for personal reasons not due to any fault of the dog. Second owners tried to integrate her with their existing LGDs who didn’t accept her. According to them she was doing well with their goats after a few corrections (trying to play with them) but she is not good with free range poultry. They adored her and were very sad to give her up but thankfully they got her back to me to find her a permanent home. I have not assessed her with livestock here because I have babies and free range poultry everywhere. If you think Barbie might be a good fit for your home please message me. Jinx the Tigress 🐅

Finally starting to fill out a bit. She’s a great example of the sighthound influence in the breed. She’s a purebred Boz, just a more rare phenotype.

Our first Muscovy clutch hatched today and I counted SEVENTEEN ducklings!! I am just blown away. We have 3 more ducks setting nests. I’m gonna need a new chest freezer 😂😂😂
