ABOUT MAMABEAN
Brigette Martin is the creative mastermind behind MamaBean Studios. She resides in Templeton with her husband, daughter and two sons. Currently, she is a stay at home Mother and artist, juggling family and business in a delicate balance; earning her the official title of “Chaos Coordinator”. She gets her many creative talents from her own late Mother, who was an amazing artist in her own right. Growing up, she always had the ability and opportunity to create, which has led her to where she is today.
Teaching herself how to knit, crochet and spin yarn in her 30’s, she quickly gained attention with the items she made for her children. MamaBean Studios was established in 2014 after a little coaxing from family and friends as an exclusively hand knit and crochet business. However, she was never content creating only fiber related items; she soon branched out to different mediums; most recently including hand-etched items and custom painted wood signs. Never sedentary with the status quo, MamaBean Studios is constantly pushing the envelope with both design and technique. Primarily focusing on custom orders; each item is made with great attention to detail, ensuring the customer gets a unique, beautiful piece. She prides herself on providing one-of-a-kind pieces with detail and love in every piece. Her creativity assures endless possibilities, striving for expert craftsmanship. She takes great joy in the process, while pushing boundaries and taking on a challenges head-on.
When she is not creating, she enjoys spending time with her family, celebrating their Scottish heritage at various Highland Game festivals, camping and antiquing and being deathly afraid of heights.
