Good afternoon!
Hope you all are enjoying the summer. We just wanted to take a quick minute to thank those of you who have shopped our little store. For those who haven't yet, come check us out. Our prices are comparable to big box and in some cases better. We are continuing to listen to your thoughts and get items that may be of interest to you.
We just received a shipment of Farm to Pet beef, chicken and turkey chips. These are single ingredient made in the USA snacks.
We have snack packs(all three flavors) for $2 each and 4oz (chicken and beef) for $14/$17. First customer tonight tried the turkey and he gobbled it up, no pun intended!
We also have Brutus Broths on-the-go sticks. Each stick makes 8oz of broth and we have had many happy clients try this. No more picky eaters! We have chicken, beef and vegetable recipe(salmon flavored). These sticks are $2ea, mix and match 8/$14 or order a box of 30 single flavor for $50.
We brought in the Brutus Broths for cats as well. Skin and Coat formula salmon flavored. This is box of 5 sticks total box makes 40oz and is $10. (Our cat loves her treat).
To further our treat selection we have Bocce treats, Yak Cheese hard chews and Bully sticks.
A nice treat could be a flavored peanut butter- carrot cake, birthday cake, s'mores- yum yum.
We still have a nice selection of Jolly Pets soccer balls and tug toys.
Our stuffy collection is growing. Who needs and Elly the elephant, Lamby, or Ferdinand the Fox.
We have LickiMats for those pups who need a little more enrichment.
For the Mom's and Dads in addition to pups, we have Yaya Organics tick spray. 4oz travel size is $12. 16oz home size is $28. Oh, and if your worried about using it up before it "goes to waste", the expiration is Jan 2029. Can't go wrong with that.
Would anyone be interested in a "Just Because I Love My Dog" gift box opportunity. Something along the lines of, you tell us how much you want to spend, we put together a package for your pet and you can either pick it up, have us deliver(within reason or ship it to you). Could be a just because their spolied, birthday, holiday.
Let us know your thoughts.
Anyways, if you've made it to the end, THANK YOU.
We really appreciate your support and business.
The Pondview Team
Mike, Cindi and Elliott

Just unboxed our latest Brutus Broth flavor: Vegetable Recipe with Salmon flavor for dogs and also the Salmon flavor skin & coat for cats. We received another positive feedback from a picky eater who also suffers from lots of alergies, and he is eating all his food now. If this sounds like a familiar story with you pet, give this brand and their various products a try.

We recently had a 15yr old guest who with age has some struggles with eating her food. After discussing option with her owner we agreed to try the Brutus Broth and she began eating all her food for the remainder of her stay.
If you have a picky eater lets discuss Brutus Broths. The nice thing about these to go packs is it makes 8oz at a time and you can vary the flavors more quickly without waste. We sell by the stick or box. We have beef and chicken currently, and are waiting on a vegetable(salmon flavored) one to be delivered. Great options for those tricky eaters.

The good death window

Knowing when to say goodbye isn’t always black and white and easy. Even for someone who does this every day. So I wanted to share with you a metaphor I use to explain to people how they should look at it IF they can. We have to remember not everyone gets lucky enough to have these kinds of talks. Catastrophes, emergencies and accidental deaths rip the decision making from you and while that may seem “easier” it’s actually the worst kind of way to lose your best friend.

Imagine you are in a house, and it catches fire. At first, it seems small, and you try the fire extinguisher to put out the flames. That works briefly, but then the flames continue to grow. You watch them spread to the ceiling, and then to the next room. You know at this point there’s no intervention big enough to stop it, so you quickly grab what you can that you love, all the memories you can save, and exit out either the window or door, unharmed.

The good death window is the same thing. I do not wait until an animal is suffering or struggling to help them pass. If their house is on fire, and their body is failing, I will give them as much joy and love as I can and then let them pass before they feel anything but comfort and love. That window I let them leave through allows them to escape in a peaceful way, without withstanding burns.

Some people will try every intervention possible to stop the flames, but that success can vary based on how big the fire is when it starts. There’s no right or wrong answer, and knowing when to stop trying and when to leave is one of the most excruciating experiences you can endure. For me, the good death window means that my animals leave on their last best day, not on their worst. Sometimes I don’t get that luxury, and the death finds them too quickly, suddenly - those are the worst kinds. It’s those deaths that keep the good death window so clear to me. The experiences of losing an animal in a catastrophic emergency way versus a planned and peaceful way solidify what I fight for these animals every day. Peace, comfort, calm, and of course me beside them.

In the end, none of us will escape death. And it’s almost always that when we have an animal, we will be the ones outliving them. That means we carry the responsibility of seeing them through all of it, including walking them to the door when the house can no longer be saved. I don’t ever want them lost in the flames, so I will help them exit before that happens. It is the greatest and hardest gift we can give them in return for the lifetime of love and devotion they have given to us.
