🏢🥵🐕 Is it just me, or does this heat get worse every year? Desert-dwelling with dogs is not for the faint of heart, especially if you are living in an apartment! Keep those feet off the pavement and those tails wagging with a few of my favorite summer activities:
🧩 Interactive Toys 🎾 - Challenge their minds and keep them engaged! Try Kongs and silicone mats with frozen foods for a chilly treat
🏠 Indoor Agility Course 🏃♂️ - Set up tunnels, hops, and climbs for an action-packed workout. Break out your inner 5-year old and get creative! Use a box for a tunnel or make a scramble out of cushions.
🎓 Training Sessions 🐶 - Teach new tricks or reinforce old ones; it’s great for bonding! Physical and mental exercise are both important, but a couple of vigorous, fun training sessions is often way better for your dog than going bananas at the bark park.
🐾 Hit the Town 🚗 - Your well-behaved pooch is welcome in several craft, book and hardware stores around the valley, you just need to know where to look! Make sure you are respectful and ask BEFORE you arrive with Fido in-tow.
